THE NAME OF GOD Amen this 3d, day of November 1729; We the within WILLIAM and JANE MEKENNE of NOMINY of Copeley Parrish in the County of Westmoreland being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, considering the uncertainty of mortality, doe here make and ordaine our Last Will and Testement in manner and form as followeth first revokeing and making void all former Wills and Testements whatsoever;
First, We give and bequeath our Souls into the hands of God that gave it and our bodys to the Earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of our Executors hereafter named.
Item. We give and bequeath our Lands and plantation to be equally devided between our three Sons, GERRARD, JOHN and DANIEL and if either of them should decease without heir, our Will is that it should fall to the other two and if any two die without heir then all to fall to one; which land and plantation we give and bequeath to them and their heirs for ever lawfully begotten of theire bodges only we give free priveledge for any of them or either of them to sell their part or persell of land to each other as they shall think fits;
Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son, WILLIAM MEKENNY one Heffer of three years old and one Shilling Sterl, in full of our Estate;
Item. I give unto my Grand Child, KENNE WILLIAMS, one Heffer of three years old after our decease;
Item. Wee give and bequeath to our three Daughters, DEBORAH MARMEDUKE, JANE WILLIAMS and MARY WILLIAMS one Shilling Sterling apeice which Shilling to be paid by our Execotors to every one of them in full of our Estate.
Item. We doe here make constitute and appoint our two beloved Sons, GERRARD and JOHN MAKENNE, Executors of this our Last Will and Testement; In Witness whereof we have both set our hands and seales the day and year above written

WILLIAM HARDWICK is appointed surveyor of the highway in that precinct where WILLIAM MACKENNY lately served. Ordered he repair and amend the Roads [Publick and necessary] in the said precinct together with the Bridges according to the direcions of the law in that behalf provided.
