To son John Bowie, tract, pt. of "Ralley's Discovery," and 2 tracts, pt. of "Brockhall,"
Remainder of estate with all benefits whatsoever shall arise from it by crops, increase of slaves, to 3 sons and child my wife will bear (unborn child).
Tobacco to be sold by Thomas Bowie and James Magruder, jr,, whom I appoint guardians and trustees to children,

Indenture made October 8, 1774; Between William Nicholls, carpenter and John Bowie, clerk of one side and James Haddock Smith, planter of the other part. Whereas Edward Brock, late of the said county by his testament and last will, bequeath to his granddaughter Mary Nicholls part of a tract called "Brock Hall" lying on the east side of Collington Branch and whereas she left issue, a son William Nicholls who conveyed the land entailed by deed bearing date November 26, 1740 to John Bowie, Jr., and father to the aforesaid John Bowie and the said William Nicholls leaving issue a son William Nicholls and grandson to the aforesaid Mary Nicholls. Now this indenture witnesseth in consideration of 5 shillings sterling money to William Nicholls, grandson to the aforesaid Mary Nicholls and John Bowie by James Haddock Smith has sold part of "Brock Hall" described above.
