Will of Jonathan Hide in Christ Church Parrish in the County of Midd. being sick and weeck in body, dated 15 Dec. 1718.
Unto Eliz. Davis my housekeeper toward maintainance of her self and her daughter Eliza Davis, £30 sterling.
To my executors and executrix hereafter named twenty shillings each for to boy them rings.
To my loveing daughter Ann Hide all the rest of my real and personall at the day of marriage or the years
of eighteen. If she dies before then equally to be devided between George Seaton, Lucy Moore, the son
and daughter of Eliza Moore and the eldest son of William Todd.
My loveing brother in law Wm. Todd and Augustine Moore and my loveing sister in law Eliza Moore and my loveing daughter Ann Hide my executors and executrix.

THIS INDENTURE made the fourth day of February in the first year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c. Annoq: Dom: 1727 Between JAMES TAYLOR of KING and QUEEN County,. Gent. of one part and AUGUSTINE MOORE of KING WILLIAM County, Gent., of other part; Witnesseth that in consideration of sume of five shillings of lawfull money of Great Britain to JAMES TAYLOR by AUGUSTINE MOORE in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth acknowledge and for divers other good causes and valuable considerations JAMES TAYLOR thereunto especially moveing hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto AUGUSTINE MOORE his heirs all that tract of land containing by estimation twelve hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less scituate on both sides the EAST NORTH EAST RIVER in Parish of Saint George and County of Spotsylvania,. Beginning at a corner Poplar of JOHN HOLLADAY's and CHRISTOPHER SMITH and the said AUGUSTINE MOORE party to these presents on the side of a hill on the South side a Branch, thence along AUGUSTINE MOORE's back line South thirty two degrees East two hundred and ninety poles to a Stake between a corner red Oak and white Oak of Mr. JOHN CHILES near the said AUGUSTINE MOORE's back line and near the head of a Valley, thence along the said CHILES's line North seventy seven degrees East three hundred and forty poles to three small corner Hickorys of the said CHILES's on a hill, thence leaveing Mr. CHILES's line and running North twelve degrees West five hundred and fifty poles to a corner Spanish Oak and white Oak of JOHN HOLLADAY's on South side a Branch, thence South fifty five degrees West along the said HOLLADAY's line one hundred poles to a Stake between two small white Oaks and a Hickory on a Hill, thence North eighty eight degrees West one hundred and thirty poles to a corner Hickory and white Oak of the said JOHN HOLLADAY's on the East side of EAST NORTH EAST RIVER just above the mouth of a small stoney Branch, thence down the EAST NORTH EAST RIVER to the beginning, which tract of land is part of a tract of five thousand acres granted to JAMES TAYLOR by Patent bearing date the twenty first day of July Annoq Dom 1722, together with the rents issues and profitts thereof; To have and to hold the tract of land and premises with appurtenances unto AUGUSTINE MOORE his heirs from the day next before the day of the date of these presents dureing one year paying therefore unto JAMES TAYLOR his heirs the rent of one ear of Indian Corn only upon the last day of the said term if the same be lawfully demanded to the intent that by virtue of these presents and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession AUGUSTINE MOORE may be in actual possession of
he premises and enabled to take a release of the inheritance thereof to him and his heirs for the uses intents and purposes intended to be limitted and declared by Indenture Tripartite to bare date the day next after the date of these presents and to be made between JAMES TAYLOR and MARTHA his Wife of the first part, GEORGE SEATON, Son and Heir of HENRY SEATON and ELIZABETH his Wife now the Wife of the said AUGUSTINE MOORE of the second part and the said AUGUSTINE MOORE of the third part. In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents within named have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written

THIS INDENTURE Tripartite made the fifth day of February in the first year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., Between JAMES TAYLOR of KING and QUEEN County, Gent. and [blank] his Wife of the first part, GEORGE SEATON, Son and Heir of HENRY SEATON and ELIZABETH his Wife, now the Wife of AUGUSTINE MOORE, of KING WILLIAM County Gent. of the second part and AUGUSTINE MOORE of the third part Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fourteen pounds, fifteen shillings of good and lawfull money of Great Britain to JAMES TAYLOR by the said AUGUSTINE MOORE [for and in behalf of said GEORGE SEATON, party to these presents], in hand well and truly paid the receipt whereof JAMES TAYLOR doth acknowledge, and also in consideration of the sum of five shillings of like money of Great Brittain by AUGUSTINE MOORE for himself and of his own proper money to JAMES TAYLOR in hand likewise paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and for divers other good causes and considerations him hereunto moveing, JAMES TAYLOR hath and by these presents doth bargain sell and release unto AUGUSTINE MOORE [in his actuall possession now being by force and virtue of one Indenture of bargain and sale and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession] and to his heirs all that tract of land containing by estimation twelve hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less situate on both sides of EAST NORTH EAST RIVER in Parish of Saint George and County of Spotsylvania, Beginning [the description of the bounds of the land are repeated as in the Lease above], To have and to hold the tract of land before mentioned to and for the several uses and purposes hereafter mentioned, [that is to say] in the first place to and for the use of GEORGE SEATON, party to these presents, and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten and for default or failure of such heirs then to and for the use of LUCY MOORE, Daughter of said AUGUSTINE MOORE, party to these presents, and ELIZABETH his Wife and the heirs of the body of the said LUCY lawfully begotten and for default of such heirs then to and for the use of THOMAS MOORE, Son of AUGUSTINE MOORE and ELIZABETH his Wife and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten and for default or failure of such heirs to the use of BARNARD MOORE, Son of the said ELIZABETH and AUGUSTINE MOORE and the heires of his body lawfully begotten and for default of such heires then to the proper use of AUGUSTINE MOORE his heires and to no other use or purpose, provided furthermore and it is hereby declared and agreed by the parties to these presents that it shall be law-full for GEORGE SEATON or his heires and to and for any other person or persons in whom is vested the tract of land herein before granted is hereby limitted as aforesaid and shall at any time hereafter be lawfully vested, In Witness whereof the said parties first above named have to these presents set their hands and seals the day and year first above written
