      I, Daniel Hoskins Sr of CC, planter, owe John Rogers, Thomas Stone, and Philip Richard Fendall, Trustees of John Barnes and Thomas How Redgate, 7 £18 shillings & 10 pence with legal interest on 6 £3 shillings and 3 pence from Oct 7, 1773, for and in consideration of sd sum of money and in order to secure the payment of the same and for 5 shillings to me in hand paid by sd John Rogers, Thomas Stone, and Philip Richard Fendall, I sell to sd John Rogers, Thomas Stone, and Philip Richard Fendall, 1 10-year old gray mare, 1 9-year-old sorrel horse, 1 7-year-old pied cow, and 1 pied yearling. If however, I pay to sd John Rogers, Thomas Stone, and Philip Richard Fendall the afd sums by Jan 15, 1777, then this bill of sale to be void. Signed Jan 15, 1776 - Danel Hodgkin [sic].
