      Page 55-56 TO ALL XTIAN PEOPLE to whom these presents shall come Wee JEFFRY WOOD & ANNE his Wife of CHOPPAWOMSICK in the County ofStaffd this I1th day of July in the third yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord KINGE JAMES the second & year 1687, Know Yee that I sd JEFFRY WOOD & ANNE his Wife for sume of Five thousand pounds of good Tobaccoe & Caske to them paid by WM, DAVIES of CHOPPAWOMSICK aforesd in ye sd County have sold unto said WM. DAVIES his heires for ever a Tract of Two hundred acres of land in ye sd County of Stafford in occupation of sd JEFFRY WOOD & being part of ye Northermost halfe of foure hundred acres of land on the South syde of POTTOMACK RIVER above a point called COCK PITT POINT bounding North on a Marsh &Read Banks Easton or upon POTTOMACK RIVER South along the PUFTOMACK RIVER for Breadth & West into ye Woods these being ye just bounds ex-pressed in ye An Lien' Pattent of RICH. CADSFORD dated 6 September 1654 & by sd Cadsford made over to Mr. HENRY PEYTON Deced by Deed dated 3d day of June 1656 & after-wards granted by Pattent to him ye said HENRY PEYTON ye Mo.. of Novembr. 1657 or wch now or late of Right decended to HENRY PEYTON Ye Youngr Sone of ye sd HENRY PEYTON deced, now of this County of Stafford & by him sold to ROGR. PONNSEY, JONATHAN WHITTALL & SARAH his Wife Survivors & Ex's. or Trustees of ye sd PONNSEYs Estate lately sold & made over to sd JEFFRY WOOD of wch Foure hundred acres of ye sd two hundred acres in ye Westernmost part as by ye sd Pattents &writeings relation being had now on ye Records of this County To Have and To Hold the said Two hundred acres of land to him the said WM. DAVIES his heires and assigner

      This Sale of land was acknowledged in ye County Court of Stafford by sd JEFFRY WOOD RICHD, GIBSON ye Attorney for his Wife this 13 day of July 1687, And was then recorded KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ANNE WOOD the Wife of JEFFRY WOOD of the County of Stafford doe appoint my Trustee & well beloved friend RICHD. GIBSON of ye sd County to be my Attor. to acknowd, on my pt this Deed off Sale & for his soe doeing this shall be his suffitient Warrt. Witness my hand & Seale this 11 day of July 1687 In presence off MATH. THOMPSON, ANNE WOOD
