To all to whom .. Know ye therefore that I JOHN WOOD or Charles County in Province of Maryland being seized of 2960 acres of land as of fee lying in Stafford County in Colony of Virga. & between ye branches of Pooles Run & Neighapasco which land I formerly purchased of HENRY WALKER & afterwards renewed the said Walkers pattent in the Honble Proprietors office as will and may more largely appear by a pattent hearing date 13th day March anno 1695 for divers good causes but more especially in consideration that SAMUEL DURRAM (also written as DURHAM) married MARY RIGING {mm note: Regon} who was my daughter in law & for the natural affection I bear unto my daughter in law have given 200 acres of land it being part of the tract abovesd & in the county aforesd & bounded .. beginning at a corner tree of JOHN KILLINGSWORTH Standing in the lower line of the grand pattent & extending thence NNE=100 poles to a corner tree then WNW= 320 poles then SSW=100 poles then ESE=320 poles .. this 14th day Decr. 1705.
