I Ann Slaughter of the County of Fairfax, widow and relict of Thomas Slaughter, decd of perfect sence and memory and of a sound and disposing mind
Item, I give to my daughter Mary Ann Seymour Slaughter, negroes Robert, Cate, Judy, Henne, Aaron, Ben, Gailes, Harry, Jen, Joseph, Daniel and Prince; all my stock of cattle, sheep, hoggs and horses except one mair colt, all my household and kitchen furniture. but if my daughter should be entitled to and put unto the possession of one equal part with her sisters of the land after my death then the negroes, stock, furniture and property given to her shall be equally divided between my three daughters Elizabeth Brent Hamersly, Eleanor Clifton Reeder and Mary Ann Seymour Slaughter
Item, I give to my daughter Elizabeth Brent Hamersly, a toitoir shell snuff box and a plain gold ring.
Item, I give to my daughter Eleanor Clifton Reeder, negro girl Synthia now in her possession and 1 copper skillet.
Item, I give to my granddaughter Sarah Hamersly negro woman July.
Item, I give to my grandsons Francis Hamersly, Thomas Hamersly, George Hamersly and Henry Hamersly negro child July

to William Green. For £145 current money. By indentures of lease and release 25-26 May 1748 made between Robert Slaughter of Orange County, Gent., and Thomas Slaughter of same, Robert Slaughter did convey to Thomas Slaughter 300 acres. Mary wife of Robert Slaughter not having joined in the conveyance
is legally intituled to right of dower. 300 acres in St. Mark's Parish on the south side of Mountain Run ... by the run side a little above the bridge ... corner to Robert Slaughter's land ...
