      At the request of Mary Beall the following Deed of Jointure
      was Recorded the 2d day of April 1793~
      This Indenture made the twenty fifth day of March seventeen
      hundred and Ninety three Between John Duvall of Marsh of Prince
      Georges County and State of Maryland Planter of the one part &
      Mary Beall of the said County and State Spinster of the other
      part Whereas a Marriage is Shortly to be had and Solemnized between the
      said John Duvall and Mary Beall Now this indenture witnesseth
      that the said John Duvall in consideration of the said intended Mar=
      riage and for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings Current
      Money by the said Mary Beall to him in hand paid at or before
      Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof She doth hereby
      acknowledge Hath Limited and appointed and by these presents doth Limit
      and appoint unto the said Mary Beall all that part of a tract of Land
      called Marys delight lying and being in Prince Georges County aforesaid
      containing one hundred and thirty two acres more or Less which said
      tract of Land was devised to the said John Duvall by his Grandfather
      John Duvall with the Reversion and reversions remainder & remainders
      Rents and Profits and all and Singular the dwelling improvements and
      appertenances to the said tract of Land belonging or in any wise apper=
      =taining~ To have and to hold the said Tract of Land with the reversi=
      =on and reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and Profits and
      all and Singular the dwellings improvements and appertenances to the
      said tract of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said
      Mary Bell from and after the Solemnization of the intended Marriage
      and the death of the said John Duvall her intended Husband for and
      during the Term of her natural life for Jointure and in Lieu and
      Bar of all dower or thirds and Title of dower or thirds which she shall
      or may have or claim and of any of the messuages Lands Tenements or
      Heriditainents whereof the said John Duvall shall at any time
      during the intended coverture between him and the said
      Mary Beall be swized of any estate of inheritance In Witness
      whereof the said John Duvall and Mary Bell have hereunto
      Set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above
      Written.
      Signed sealed and delivered in presence of John Duvall (of M) seal

      Saml Hepburn. On the Back of which deed was thus endorsed
      On the day of the date of the within Indenture received of
      Mary Beall the sum of five shillings Current Money being the
      consideration therein mentioned~

      peared before us the Subscribers two of the Justices of the Peace
      for the said County John Duvall and Mary Bell Parties to the
      within indenture and respectively acknowledged the same to be
      their Seperate act and deed to and for the Purposes therein mentioned and the title to the Land therein mentioned to be transfered
      agreeable to the true intent and Meaning thereof and the act of
      Assembly in such cases made and Provided Acknowledged
      before David Craufurd Associate Justice

      "being in sound mind and Memory. ."
      Bequeaths to:
      1. John Duvall --son
      Jacob Duvall --son
      John Duvall --grandson (son of Marsh Mareen Duvall)
      -to have all of testator's land and plantation whereon testator now dwells called -Mary's Delight" to be divided w/ testator's grandson's part beginning in the south line of the said tract at a stone which divides testator's tract w/ that of Joseph Isaac and thence....until it intersects the north line of the said tract thence . .to the beginning -John's part beginning in the north line at the end of grandson's easterly line and running ....to along Chestnut Stump thence. . to a Spanish oak near testator's meadow thence. . until it intersects grandson's easterly line thence to the beginning -all the remainder of the tract to be the property of Jacob
      -Jacob to have either Negro "Jeremiah" "Edward" or "Basill" whichever he chooses,
      -Jacob to have 1 feather bed and common furn and 1 cow and calf. 4 head of and all of testator's surveying instruments and 20 pounds current money and the money
      to be applied to keeping "the vault in the Chaple yard in repair--- and should there be any of the money left over at his decease to go to some person to do the same
      -Grandson John to have Negro girl "Mila"
      -remainder of the estate to he divided among testator's children, son-in-law
      2. Marsh Mareen Duvall -son
      -to have testator's sword. belt and 5 shillings current money
      3. John Duvall --son
      -to have Negro "Robert'
      -to have testator's silver watch
      4. Samuel Tyler --son-in-law
      -to have Negro boy -John" who is now in his possession
      -named executor of the will
      5. Ann Duvall -daughter
      -to have Negro woman "Lucy" and her child -Richard" and Negro boys
      and "Daniel'
      -to have I feather bed and furn„ I cow and calf. 4 head of sheep and 1 young horse or mare.
      -what pewter testator has at decease along w/ 6 best chairs. and 2 iron pots tobe divided w/ Jacob and Annis to have 1 chest with 2 drawers in it
      -to have a room with lestator's son John as long as she remains singlc
      6. Mary Duvall --daughter
      -to have Negro girl "Margaret"
      -to have all "other articles she had away with her when she went to House keeping
      7. Grandchildren --children of daughter Elizabeth Magill
      -to have 5 pounds current money each

      this Bill of Sale was done at the same time the marriage contract to Mary Beall was done. So I would say this Sarah Beall is in some way related to Mary Beal, John's new wife.

      At the request of Sarah Beall the following Bill of Sale was re
      corded the 2 day of April 1793.
      Know all men by these Presents that I John Duvall of Marsh of
      Prince Georges County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the
      Sum of two hundred pounds t me in hand paid by Sarah Beall of the County
      and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have Bar
      gained and sold and do hereby Bargain and sell unto the said Sarah Beall
      the following Property to wit one negro woman named Rachel and her
      three children to wit Henney Sandy and John six horses twenty Sheep
      twenty Hoggs and four Beds Bedsteads and furniture To have & to hold
      the aforesaid Property and all the above Property t the said Sarah Beall
      her heirs and assigns for ever and the said John Duvall of Marsh for
      himself his heirs Executors and administrators doth hereby covenent and
      agree to warrant and for ever defend the above named Property against all
      manner of Persons whatsoever In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set
      my hand and affixed my Seal this twenty third day of March in the year
      of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety three~

      Came the withing named John Duvall of Marsh before the Subscriber one
      of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged
      the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the Goods
      and Chattles therein mentioned to be the Right and estate of the
      within named Sarah Beall her heirs and assigns accounting
      to the true intent and meaning of the withing deed and the acts
      of Assembly in such case made and provided~
