      Aug. 1773 - Daniel Barron jurat to 2 days attendance for Proprietary against William Richards for which it is ordered by the Justices of the Court here that the said William Richards pay the said Daniel Barron the sum of 45 lbs. of tobacco.

      April 1810 - "Daniel Barron owned a farm or tobacco plantation in Prince Georges County, below Bladensburg, and one day while returning from the same upon his saddle horse and while adjusting the bridle the horse suddenly threw its head upward, striking Mr. Barron under the chin violently, causing a hemorrage from which he died in April 1810. His widow afterward removed to Georgetown with her daughter Eliza, residing with her youngest daughter Mary Ann and later to Washington where she died in 1831."

      Apr. 18 and July 24, 1810 - The "Index to the Probate Records of Prince George's County, Maryland, 1696-1900," p. 7, shows that Daniel Barron was deceased by Apr. 18, 1810, and that his July 24, 1810 Inventory was filed by Mary Barron.

      1810 - The Prince George's Co., Md. Estate papers of Daniel Barron found at Maryland Archives, Location: 00/50/06/002, MSA Citation: C2119-2, Accession No.: MSA SC 5458-58-17283, show:
      --Apr. 18, 1810 - Mary Barron, Thomas G. Duvall and Joseph Wilson post 2000 pounds current money as bond for Mary Barron to perform the office of Administratrix of the Daniel Barron estate.
      --Apr. 18, 1810 - Thomas Bowie and William Ross are authorized to appraise the personal estate of the late Daniel Barron.
      --Apr. 20, 1810 - The inventory of Daniel Barron is completed. The inventory includes Negroes, horses, cattle, plantation utensils, household furniture and kitchen furniture, all to the value of $1489.94.
      --July 24, 1810 - Mary Barron presents the inventory of Daniel Barron's estate as a "true and perfect inventory."

      August? 1810 - Comes into court here Otho Barron aged twenty years, orphan of Daniel Barron and makes choice of Thomas Duvall as his Guardian who is approved by the Court on his giving bond in such penalty and with such security as the court shall approve conditioned for the faithful performance of his duty as Guardian.

      August? 1810 - Ordered by the Court that Mary Barron is hereby appointed Guardian to Jane Barron aged thirteen years, Eliza Barron aged ten years, Henry Barron aged nine years, and Mary Ann Barron aged five years, orphans of Daniel Barron.

      Washington, D.C. Circuit Court, In Chancery, November term, 1833. James Barron, Stephen Leland and Harriet Leland his wife, John Dix and Eleathea Dix his wife, and Henry Barron vs. Daniel Barron, infant son of Lelburn Barron deceased, David Knowles and Eleanor Knowles his wife, William Knowles and Janett Knowles his wife, Enoch White and Elizabeth White his wife, Otho Barron, James Belt and Mary Ann Belt his wife.
      The bill in this case states in substance, that Mary Barron, late of Washington, D.C., died sometime in the year 1831, and was indebted to James Barron, Stephen Leland, John Dix, and Henry Barron. That the complainant, James Barron, administered upon her estate, which is insufficient to pay the just debts of the said Mary, that the said Mary died seized of certain real estate situate in the City of Washington, which has descended to heirs of law, namely: Harriet Leland (formerly Barron) and wife of said Stephen, and Elizabeth Dix (formerly Barron) and wife of John Dix, James Barron, Henry Barron, Daniel Barron, infant son of Lelburn Barron, Eleanor Knowles (formerly Barron), wife of Daniel Knowles, Janet Knowles (formerly Barron) wife of William Knowles, Elizabeth White (formerly Barron) wife of Enoch White, Mary Ann Belt (formerly Barron wife of James Belt and Otho Barron. And these complainants pray that the said real estate may be sold to satisfy and pay their said d!
      ebts. It further states that Daniel Barron, Otho Barron, James Belt and Mary Ann Belt his wife all reside out of the district. Ordered Nov. 27, 1833, that the complainants give notice to the said absent defendants of the substance and object of the said bill by publishing same in the "National Intelligencer" once a week for 6 weeks successively.
