      THIS INDENTURE made the twelfth day of June 1702 Between WILLIAM BEVERLEY of the County of Middlesex Gent. of one part and PETER BEVERLEY of the County of GLOUCESTER Gent. Wittnesseth that said William Beverley for sume of five shillings lawfull money of England hath sold unto said Peter Beverley all those his tracts or dividends of land and Plantations being in Middlesex County on or near Rappahannock River or in any place or places in the said County part whereof is comonly called GRIFFINS NECK being all the lands formerly purchased by Major ROBERT BEVERLEY of Mr. THOMAS ELLIOTT by Deed the 20th of January 1672 and by the Last Will and Testament of the said Robert Beverley dated the 26th day of August 1686 given to him the said William Beverley and heires forever for and dureing the terme of one yeare from thence and that by Vertue thereof, and the statute for transferring of uses into possession, the said Peter Beverley may be in actuall possession of the said lands and be enabled to tate and accept is grant and release of the same

      The Sudden Death of the within named William Beverley preventing his personal acknowledgement of the within Deed of Lease at the Motion off the within named Peter Beverley the said Deed and delivery of these presents proved by the oaths of all the Wittnesses (Vitt) William Kitts, Thomas Ballard and Richard Crompton & which is ad-
      mitted to record, and accordingly recorded the seaventh day of August 1702.
