      Indenture made December 14, 1789; we Haswell Magruder and Charity Magruder his wife in consideration of the natural love and affection we have for our son William Magruder and 5 shillings as also in consideration of us hereunto moving has given Negro Dick (7 years). In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this December 14, 1789, Haswell Magruder, Charity Magruder in the presence of Rd Cramphin and acknowledged before Rd Cramphin, Richard T.       Indenture made February 23, 1791; I Haswell Magruder in consideration of the natural love and affection which he beareth unto his son William Magruder as also for the better maintenance support livelihood and preferment and 5 shillings sterling money of Great Britain has assigned part of a tract called "Berrys Folly" lying on he south side of the two stones that is planted and the path that leads to Samuel Magruder (but of what quantity of acres I don't say).
