      THIS INDENTURE made the XXIIId day of September One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Between JOHN GARR and MARGARET his Wife, ANDREW GARR and CHRISTENAH his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and WILLIAM CORBIN of same County of other part Witnesseth that JOHN GARR and MARGARET his Wife, ANDREW GARR and CHRISTINA his Wife for sum of Five hundred pounds current money and four thousand pounds Crop tobo. to them in hand paid by these presents hath bargained and sold unto WILLIAM CORBIN his heirs and assigns all that tract of land whereon said WILLIAM CORBIN, Platt CORBIN and JOHN JINKINS now lives containing by estimation Two hundred acres which said land was granted JAMES MAXWELL by LORD FAIRFAX the 11th of June 1749 and is bounded Begining at JAMES LILLARD's Corner in the back line of the Deed thence with the back line from LILLARD's Corner in the Patent line South fifty nine degrees East three hundred and eight poles to a Double Poplar in the Fork of the Branch of LENDRUMS RUN, thence North eight degrees East One hundred and forty two poles to two white Oaks and a Gum corner to Captain JOSEPH JAMES on the South side of HUGHS RIVER thence up the said RIVER the several courses thereof to a Poplar and Oak opposite a red bank on North side of said RIVER, thence with JAMES LILLARD's line to the begining To have and to hold the said Two hundred acres of land with the appurtenances thereto belonging unto WILLIAM CORBIN his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands and Seals the day month and year above written
