  === Charles County Maryland Will Book AH-9, 1785-1788; Page 308. William Davis Sr's Will. I, William Davis, tho weak in body, yet am of a sound and perfect understanding and memory. I desire to be buried without pomp. To my daughter Tabitha Davis - she is to have full use and authority over my dwelling plantation whereon I now dwell, called Burds head, containing 50 acres, during her natural life, with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging. I also give Tabitha all my moveable estate. And after my daughter's death or natural life, Burds head goes to my granddaughter, Mary Rosamon Davis. To my 5 children (to wit) Leonard Davis, William Davis, Stephen Davis, Sarah Swan, and Martha Hunt - 1 english shilling each. To my daughter Mary Annconey Davis - 1 feather bed and bolster. To my granddaughter Mary Rosamon Davis - 1 feather bed furniture, and 1 heifer. Executor: my son William Davis. Signed Apr 20, 1784 - William (X his mark) Davis.
