      I, John Posey of CC, being in good health and of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding;
      To son George Posey, a tract of land on Nanjemoy called "St. Barbara's Manor" containing 114 acres, 3 rods and 16 perches with all buildings and improvements thereon. Also ½ moiety of all he sheep.
      To youngest son Samuel Posey after he pays my just debts, the balance of my real personal and mixed estate.

      I, Thomas Posey of CC being of sound and perfect mind and memory
      To son Jeremiah Posey, tracts Woodyard Island and Slipe and the improvements thereon. Also one bed and furniture, one cow and one yearling, one pewter dish and six plates, two iron pots during his natural life and after his death, then all to son John Posey.
      I appoint my son John Posey to live with his brother Jeremiah in my present dwelling house.
      To son John Posey, two feather beds and the furniture thereto, two cows, my horse and riding saddle.
      To daughter Jane Maddox, one cow and no more.
      To grandson Abednego Posey, one heifer and no more.
      To daughter Henrietta Posey, one stone flowered dish, four flowered stone plates, one feather bed and furniture, one Cow.

      Indenture made October 7, 1816; John Posey in consideration of {blank} dollars current money of the United States paid by Burditt Posey Jr. a tract called "woodyard Island" also all that part that has not heretofore been granted out of one other tract called "Slipe" all of which is contiguous to the original grant lying in Durham Parish containing and now laid out for 74 acres.
