    • Susannah Holtzclaw, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Holtzclaw, b. 1768/9, d. in Madison County, Virginia. after 1855. She and her sisters, Elizabeth and Eve Holtzclaw, never married. In 1829 their brother. Henry Holtzclaw of Barren County, Kentucky., deeded to the three sisters all his interest in the estate of his father, Joseph Holtzclaw (Madison Co. D. B. 10, Page 129). After the death of their mother, Elizabeth Holtzclaw, in 1839, their brother, Jacob Holtzclaw of Boone County, Kentucky. deeded to the three all his interest in the land which descended to him through his mother (Madison Co. D. B. 15, Page 81). On Feb. 1, 1855 Susan and Eva HoItzclaw (Elizabeth apparently being dead) deeded to Jacob Rouse the 200 acres that had been given to their parents by John Zimmermann in 1776, on condition that Rouse maintain them the rest of their lives (Madison Co D. B. 27, Page 190).
