- Charles County Land Records 1775-1782; Liber V#3; Page 513, Feb 27, 1781 from Eleazar Davis of CC, stonemason, to William Dent, son of Thomas, planter, for 20,000 lbs of crop tobacco, all those messuages in CC, the one called Smiths Reserve, bounded by Philip Coomes' land, containing and laid out for about 100 acres, the other called Simpton Coatback, bounded by a parcel of land laid otf for Baptist Cooksey and now in the possession of Hezekiah Dent, containing and laid off for about 50 acres, Signed - Eleazar Davis, William Dent son of Thos. Wit - Walter Winter, Bennett Dyson (CC Magistrates). Mary An, wife of the within mentioned Eleazar Davis, relinquished her right of dower to the lands within mentioned, Recorded Mar 3, 1781.
