TO ALL TO WHOME these presents shall come Knoe Ye that I HANNAH BAYLIS of the County of STAFFORD and Colony of Virginia for the natural love which I bear unto my loving Brother SAMUEL EARL of the County of FREDERICK and Colony aforesd as for the sum of One hundred and Forty six pounds Nine shillings Current money and Three thousand pounds of Crop tobacco by the said Samuel disbursd laid out and expended at divers times and upon different occations for my use and benefit do by these presents Give and Confirmd unto the said Samuel Earl and his heirs forever the following goods Slaves Cattle Viz. the Negro men slaves George & Cuffey and the negroe boys and Jos the Negro woman slaves Judah Sue Kate Isabell and Janney and a negro girl named Young Judah Together with all the horses, mares, hoggs, cattle, shiip and tools bedd potts pewter and other household furniture now is in my Custody and possession by virtue of the Last Will and Testament of my Husband John Bailis deceasd or by any other Lawfull ways To Have and To Hold the foresaid Slaves goods and Cattle unto him the said Sameul Earl and his heirs for ever clear and exempt from me my heirs. In Testimony I have set my hand and affixd my seal this Twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty Nine

THE CONDITION of the above bound is that far as much as the said HANNAH BAYLIS hath granted unto SAMUEL EARL sundry Slaves goods and Cattle as p a Deed of Gift hearing equal date herewith Now if the said SAMUEL EARL shall permit the said HANNAH to keep the aforesaid Slaves goods and Cattle during the Natural life of the said HANNAH provided she does not dispose of the said goods save only for her better support and maintainence then this bond to be void else to remain in full force
