      1675 - In consideration of a marriage "by God's grace soon to be contracted between the said John Lambert and Sarah Barker, daughter of John Barker of ye County," John Lambert of Charles Co. deeds to his betrothed wife a tract of land on Mattawoman Creek being one half of "Simpson's Supply" and also a portion of a tract formerly belonging to Gerard Browne, of 100 acres.

      August 28th 1738 (C-158)
      Know all Men by these Presents that we Sarah Lambert, William Champ & John Reeves are held and firmly bound unto Denis McCarty the first Justice in the Commission of Peace for Prince William County for and in behalf and to the sole use and behoof of the Justices of the said County and their successors in the sum of fifty pounds to be paid to the said Denis McCarty his Executors Administrators and Assigns. To which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals dated this 28th day of August 1738.
      The Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bound Sarah Lambert administrix of all the Goods, Chattels and Credits of Sarah Lambert deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the said Deceased, which have, or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of the said Sarah Lambert or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her and the same so made, do exhibit into the County Court of Prince William at such time as she shall be thereunto required by the said Court; and the same Goods, Chattels and Credits, and all other the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the said Deceased at the time of her death or which at any time shall come to the hands, possession of the said Sarah Lambert or into the hands and possession of any other person or persons for him do well and truly administer according to Law and further do make a just and true account of her Actings and Doings therein when thereto required by the said Court and all the rest and residue of the goods Chattels and Credits which shall be found remaining upon the said administrators account, the same being first examined and allowed by the Justices of the Court for the time being shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the said Justices by their order or Judgment shall direct
      pursuant to the laws in that case made and provided and if it shall hereafter appear that any Last Will and Testament was made by the Deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named do Exhibit the same into Court making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said Sarah Lambert being thereunto required do render and deliver up his letter of administration approbation of such Testament being first had and maid in the Court. Then Obligation to be void and of none effect or else to remain in full force and virtue.

      Jun 10, 1724 from Jno Lambeth of CC, planter, to Robert Hanson of CC, gent, for 2000 lbs of tobacco & 5 barrels of Indian corn and for divers other causes, all that tract of land called HABBERDEVENTURE, lying in CC near the head of Portobacco Cr, adjoining the land of John Robinson, now in the possession of the heirs of Francis Wine called SYMPSONS DELIGHT, bounded by a Deep branch, the land of Job Corner, a bounded tree of sd Robinson, containing and laid out for 150 acres, as by a particular patent thereof may appear, which patent was, on May 10, 1685, granted to Jno Barefoot. Signed - Jno Lambeth. Wit - Jno Briscoe*, Cha Somrsett Smith*. This deed was acknowledged by John Lambeth and Sarah, his wife.
