IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen. I GEORGE BRUCE of the Parish of Cople and County of Westmoreland being very sick and weak of body but of perfect and sound memory and understanding, thanks be to God for the same, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, Vizt., First and principally I commit my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named;
Item. I give unto my Son, WILLIAM BRUCE, one shilling;
Item. I give unto my Son, GEORGE BRUCE, one shilling;
Item. I give unto my Daughter, JANE JORDAN, Wife of JACOBUS JORDAN, one shilling;
Item. I give unto my Daughter, CHRISTIAN YOUNG, Wife of JOHN YOUNG, one shilling; Item. I give under my Son, CHARLS BRUCE, my Gun
Item. I give and bequeath to my Loving Wife, MARGARY BRUCE, the Plantation whereon I now live containing one hundred acres be the same more or less being the land which I bought of CHRISTOPHER DOMINICK JACKSON during her natural life and after her decease to fall to my Son, CHARLES BRUCE, to him and his heirs of his body lawfully begotten and for want of such heirs to fall to my two Daughters, KEZIA and HANNAH BRUCE to be equally divided between them to them and their heirs for ever;
Item. I give to my Loving Wife, MARGARY BRUCE, thirty pounds current money which is due to me by Board from BENJAMIN RUST to be disposed of as she thinks fit;
Item. I give to my Daughter, KEZIA BRUCE, my large pewter dish;
Item. I give and bequeath to my Loving Wife, MARGERY BRUCE, all my part of one certain Estate due to me in the hands of JOSEPH RUST, JUNR. which fell to me by the way of my Brother, JOHN BRUCE, to be disposed of as she thinks fit;
Item. I leave all the rest of my personal Estate to be divided between my Loving Wife, MARGERY BRUCE, and my three Children, CHARLES BRUCE, KEZIA BRUCE and HANNAH BRUCE: And I do hereby constitute and appoint my Loving Wife, MARGERY BRUCE, and my Loving Friend, RICHARD PARTRIDGE, whole and sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby making void all other former Wills, Testaments and Legacies whatsoever; In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27th day of January 1741/2

Westmoreland sct. At a Court held for the said County the 29th day of June 1742 This Last Will and Testament of GEORGE BRUCE, deceased, was presented into Court by MARGERY BRUCE and RICHARD PARTIDGE, his Executors who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oaths of WILLIAM GROVE and WILLIAM HARRIS, two of the witnesses thereto, is admitted to Record; And on the motion of the said Executors and their performing what is usual in such cases, Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
