      Will of John Chittam Prince George's County, Maryland Dated 24 November, 1707 and Proven 01 March, 1708 In the name of God Amen. I John Chittam of Prince George's County being sick and weak of boddy but of perfect mind and memory praise therefore given to Almighty God, doe make and ordane this my present Last Will and Testament in the manner and form foltowing. That is to say first and principally I command my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through his merits & forgiveneths of all my sins and to inheritt everiasting life: my t)ody I comitt to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as to my temporal estate I give and dispose of thereof as followeth First, I will that my debts be all paid and discharged. Then I give unto my loving wife Ann Chittem one mare and her foal. Then I give and bequeath unto my grandson John Thompson, son of William Thompson the first come calfe that shall come of my stock this next ensuing spring. Then I give unto my daughter Grace Ramsey five shillings. All the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal whatsoever, I doe give and bequeath unto my beloved son John Chittam and his heirs forever, whom I also ordaine my full and sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby making void all other former wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of November, 1707.
