      Dec. 10. 1833 - James Cooksey [Isaac's son] appeared at court
      in Charles Co., Md .• and stated that his mother. Mary Cooksey,
      renounced all rights to administer on the estate of her
      deceased husband Isaac Cooksey and requested that letters
      of administration be issued to her son Nathan P. Cooksey.

      Isaac Cooksey, deceased, was granted to Nathan P. Cooksey.

      Value of personal estate: $1,735.99.
      The difference between the appraised value and the estate
      sale proceeds was $326.62.
      Payments made by the estate included a payment of $2.11 to
      Mary Beavin for officiating as a mid-wife.

      Dec. 29, 1817 - The Charles Co., Md. will of Hugh Perry, probated Feb. 28, 1818, leaves:
      --to all children [unnamed], equal share in the livestock, horses and other personalty.
      --to sons James, Thomas D., and Hugh, all land equally [land not named.]
      --to dau. Ann Perry, 1000 lbs. tobacco.
      Executor: son Thomas D. Perry.

      Comment: That one of Hugh's unnamed children was the wife of Isaac Cooksey is shown (1) by the Dec. 13, 1826 record below, and (2) on Apr. 18, 1818 when Isaac Cooksey in right of his wife [unnamed] drew lot no. 2 of Hugh's property.

      On page 101 of Mary Louise Donnely's book, Beaven-Blandford Clarkson-Mitchell Familes of Maryland, Kentucky, U.S.A. says that Benjamin Beaven married Elizabeth Cooksey at St. Mary's at Bryantown, MD, "the daughter of Isaac Cooksey. In the final account of the estate of Isaac Cooksey, dated 12/1836 his seven children were named and each was to receive one seventh of the estate or $120.13 each (Accounts 1834-1836:260). The children were Nathan Cooksey (m 12/10/1821 Martha Kidwell); Sarah D. Cooksey (m 2/13/1813) John W. Eastwood); Mary Cooksey (m 3/28/1815 Henry Beaven); Margaret Cooksey m Henry Davis; Joshua Cooksey; James A. Cooksey; and Elisabeth Cooksey (m 2/18/1814 Benjamin Beaven).
