      The last will of Edward Dement late of CC dec'd declared by him by word of mouth on the 22nd day of March 1799, being then sick of the sickness where of he died in the presence of us the subscribers who sign our names as witness thereof:
      James Swan and Rheuen Thorn I call on you as witnesses to take notice that I give my granddaughter Catharine Davis one red heifer which is all I have to give her. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands this 30th day of July 1799
