Smyth, Thomas, Kent Co., 30th June, 1718 ; 4th Aug., 1719.
To son Thomas and hrs., dwelling plantation, being pt. of "Trumping, "Smyth Meadow" (excepting pt. hereafter bequeathed), "Ratcliff Cross," "The Addition' on s. side of Davies' Ck., and "Smyths Venture," on both sides afsd. ck.; also lot in New Yarmouth, on Grasin Ck., adjoining Mr. Tovey 's.
To dau. Martha and hrs., land bou. of Mr. Neatkin, being a pt. of "Hinchingham, and "Smythe 's Desert," excepting 100 A. joining where John Griffith is now seated, which 100 A. testator bequeaths to sd. John Griffith and Mary, his wife, during their lives.
To son Thomas and dau Martha, pew in St. Paul's, Kent Co.
To Jane Coursey, pt. of "Smyth's Meadows " (for desc. see will) , during life; shd. she have child., to them and their issue. When all are extinct sd. land to revert to son Thomas afsd. and hrs. Sd. Jane to pay Proprietary Rent and other charges.
To George Hanson, 600 lbs. tobacco for like sum had of Maj. Pott on his acct.
To John Griffith, tobacco due testator.
To wife Martha, extx., dwelling plantation and "Smyth's Meadow" during life, or half "Ratcliff Cross" during life. She to make a choice when son arrives at age of 18; and 1/3 personal estate.
Plantation, 150 A., Langford 's Bay, being pt. of " The Plaines," for use of a free school in the Parish_ of St. Paul's, Kent Co. When no schoolmaster lives on it, wife to let any poor man or men live thereon till a schoolmaster comes; after wife's decease son Thomas to do
same; after decease of both, the Vestry to do same forever.
