- ATTWOOD's Admon granted
JANE ATTWOOD came into Court and made Oath that her late Husband, GILBERT ATWOOD, deced. departed this life without makeing any Will soo farr as shee knows or believes and on her Petition Certifycate is granted her for obtaining Letters of Administration on the Decedent's Estate in due form according to Law, And it is ordered that CHARLES TYLER, DANIELL MARREAN, THOMAS TAYLOR and JAMES BUTLER or any three ofthem being first sworn before one ofher Majesty's Justices ofthe Peace for this Couty doe some time before the next Court to be held for this County value and appraise the Estate in money and make report thereof to the next Court

It is ordered that the Sheriff doe summon JANE ATTWOOD, Administratrix of the Estate of GILBERT ATTWOOOD, to be and appeare at the next Court to answer the Petition of MARY VINCENT, Daughter of HENRY VINCENT, deced., by her preferred to this Court

- VINCENT v ATTWOOD's Admrx.
MARY VINCENT, Daughter of HENRY VINCENT, late of this County, deced., by her Petition to this Court preferred at November Court last sett forth that her deced. Father did by his Last Will and Testament give and bequeath to MARY all his Estate real and personall [except one Cow and Calfe and two suites of Clothes and of the Will appointed GILBERT ATTWOOD, Executor, who is since departed this life, and JANE his Relict hath obtained Letters ofAdministration on GILBERT ATTWOOD's Estate and that she refused to pay an deliver to her, MARY, the Estate as aforesaid by HENRY to her bequeathed for which she prayed the Court's Judgment; And now at this Court JANE appeared and offered nothing in barr thereof; whereupon it is considered by the Court that the Petitioner doe recover against JANE the Estate soe as aforesaid to her belonging, and it is ordered that shee pay the same according to the Inventory of the Estate of HENRY by GILBERT ATTWOOD to this Court returned [first deducting the Cow and Calfe and ye two suites of Cloathes abovementioned] together with costs alias Execution

To cousin John Lancelott my two plantations one formerly my brother William's and the other that which Gilbert Atwood now lives on, but his mother Jane Lancelott to live on it during her life; in case John Lancelott dies then to his sister my cousin Jane Simmons failing which to my cousin William Butler and * * *; to my wife Mary remainder of estate; brother William's children; my cousin to be kept in school until he can read Bible and cousin Jane same.
