      Rice W[illia]ms as marrying the relict of Jo: Hadnuts vs. John Symson executor of Hadnut. Complaint being made by the plaintiffs that there was some cattle which was Hadnutt's estate was not brought to appraizement (to witt) three cowes and an yearling, the Court adjudge the cattle to belong to Hadnutt's estate and doe order that the same be appraised.

      John Simson [Simpson] the executor of Joseph Hudnutt proved the will of Hudnutt by the witnesses thereunto and prayed to have administration granted to him, which the Court ordered. Richard Youle and Patrick Spence assumed in 10,000 pounds of tobacco apeice for Simson's true performance of the administration. And doe further order that the estate bee appraised the 18th instant by John Pratt, Wm. Cotherell and Edward Mercy, And Mr. Wm. Horton is desired to sweare the appraizers.
      Itt is ordered that Eliz: Hudnutt bee allowed the best bedd and furniture and such personall things as were comonly belonging and used in her chamber.

      Coll: Isaac Allerton, High Sherriff of this County, vs. Rice Williams. Upon complaint of the High Sherriffe that hee haveing seized certaine tobaccoes and place the broad arrow on them for the use of his Majestie, Rice Williams against the peace of this Country and his duty to his Majestie take forceably the tobaccoes away and converted them to his owne use. The Court order that Rice Williams be forthwith comitted unto the publick goale,there to remaine without baile or mainprize untill hee hath made full return of the tobacco and alsoe enter into bond for his good abearing to his Majestie and all his leige people and also to make recantation of this his fact in open Court and pay all manner of costs.
      Capt. Law: Washington vs. Jo: Simpson executor of Joseph Hadnutt. Order is granted to Lawrence Washington for 563 pounds of tobacco being soe much due by account. It is ordered that Joseph Hadnutt pay.

Grant to Rice Williams of Washington Parish, Westmoreland County, of 107 acres in said parish upon Machodick Damm and upon the land of John Right, the land of Mr. Robert Housen, deceased, and upon the land of Henry Archwell, formerly in possession of Joseph Hadmill [Hadnutt] and one Simpson, joint tenants, both deceased without heirs, by reason whereof the said land escheated to the Lords Proprietors and Mr. John Withers of Stafford County petitioning for the fifth preference thereof hath obtained the fifth grant, who hath assigned over his right to the lands unto Rice Williams, 28 July 1691 ... by survey under the hand of Mr. Alexander Spence, surveyor, 11 July 1691.

      AMOS BAGGWELL who intermarried with JANE, the Daughter of WILLIAM LANCELOTT, deced., and RICE WILLIAMS, who intermarried with MARY, Executrix of JOHN LANCELOTT, deced. haveing submitted a difference between them relateing to the Rents of Land left by JOHN LANCELOTT to JOHN and JANE LANCELOTT, Orphants of WILLIAM LANCELOTT and the Court haveing taken the same into their consideration doe adjudge that the Rents of the land that were in possession of JOHN LANCELOTT, the Younger, by the devise ofhis Uncle doth ofright belong and appertaine to JANE as Heir to her Brother and that the Rents of the lands devised to JANE by her Uncle belong and appertaine to MARY, now Wife of RICE WILLIAMS, untill JANE shall attain to the age of sixteen yeares

Estate in due form ANDREW HARRISON & THOMAS ROBINS assuming in Court to be security for her faithfull Admicon according to law. Ordered that ROBERT LOVELL, CHARLES TYLER, ANDREW HARRISON or JOHN ROBINSON or any three of them being first sworn before one of his Majesties Justices for the said County do some time before the next Court to be heldfor the County aforesaid value and appraise the said Estate in money and make reportthereof to the said Court.
