      IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen. I DANIEL CRABB of Cople Parish in Westmoreland County being sick and weak of body but of perfect sence and memory, doe here by make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, hereby do make void all former Wills heretofore made by me either in word or deed, and as to what worldly substance it hath pleased God to bestow on me, I give & bequeath as followeth, viz.,
      Imprimis. I give and bequath to my Brother, THOMAS CRABB, two Negro boys named Dunlen and Fortune, to have them delivered when he shall attain the age of twenty one years; And if he dies before or after he come to age and have no heir, in such case I give and bequath the Negro boy, Fortune, unto my Brother, JOHN CRABB, and his heirs of his body lawfully begotten and
      I give and bequath the Negro boy, Dunlen, to my Brother, OSMON's Son, GERRARD, & to his heirs,
      I give and bequath to my Brother, THOMAS CRABB, and his heirs all the land which THOMAS BOYD dwells on in NOMONY FORREST containing 90 acres be the same more or less,
      I also give and bequath to my Brother, THOMAS CRABB, two cows and calves, a feather bed and furniture, a small chest, pott, two dishes, 1/2 dozen plates.
      I give and bequath to my Brother, OSMAN CRABB, all my wearing cloaths, a feather bed and furniture and two Cows & calves;
      I give and bequath unto my Sister, LETTICE McKINNEY, a feather bed & furniture and two cows and calves.
      I give and bequath unto my Brother, JOHN CRABB, and his heirs three Negroes named, Jo:, Kate & Bess, and their increase and all other of my Estate which is not herein before given, be the same of any kind or quality whatsoever upon condition that he discharge and pay all my just debts & funeral expences and also pay to my Mother, SARAH DUNBAR, five hundred pounds of tobacco yearly during her life, and I doe hereby constitute and appoint my Brother, JOHN CRABB, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and have hereunto set my hand and seals this first day of December Anno Dom: 1738

At a Court held for the said County the 30th day of January 1738 This Last Will and Testament of DANIEL CRABB, deceased, was presented into Court by JOHN CRABB, his Executor, who made Oath thereto, and being proved by the Oaths of DANIEL JINNINGS, WILLIAM BROWNE and MARY HALL, witnesses thereto, and admitted to Record, And upon the motion of the said Executor and his performing what is usual in such cases, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form

      In the suite brought by OSMAN CRABB on the behalf ofhis Children, DANIEL CRABB, JOHN CRABB and LETTICE CRABB, against EDMUND JEFFRIES for detainer of one Still, tubb and worm all ofthe value of twenty five pounds sterling to the damage ofthe Children of the Pltf. forty pounds sterling, the Defendant pleaded nil debet and of that &c., and the Pltf. likewise; whereupon the Sheriffwas commanded to cause to come here twelve &c., and the Sheriff haveing returned twelves [who to witt]

      We agree that JOHN GARNER, Grandfather of the Plt. in his life time & at the time of his death was seised in fee of the premises in question and before his death made his Last Will and Testament in Writing bearing date the third day of January MDCCXII in these words; In the Name of God &c, (here read the Will) We agree that the Land in Ragged Point in the said Will mentioned to be devised to ABRAHAM GARNER, Son of the said Testator is the premises in question and that the said ABRAHAM after the death of the Testator entered into the said premises & was thereof seised and being so seized made a Lease of the said premises unto OSMOND CRABB, Father of thehe Sixteenth day of November 1719, hereunto annexed, and that OSMOND CRABB after making the said Lease entred into the said premises and also was thereof possessed; We agree that the said ABRAHAM GARNER is dead and that the Lesser of the Plt is his Eldest Son & heir at Law; that OSMOND CRABB is dead, & the Defendt. is his Exter. if the Law be for the Plt., we agree that Judgment to be entred for him and one shilling damages, if not that the Indictment be entred for the Defendant

      THIS INDENTURE made the twentieth day of September in the Tenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., And in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred thirty and six, Between DANIEL CRABB of Cople Parish and Westmorland County, Planter, of one part and JOHN CRABB of the same Parish and County, Planter, of other part; Wittnesseth that DANIEL CRABB in consideration of the sum of five shillings of lawfull money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by JOHN CRABB doth hereby acknowledge the receipt, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto JOHN CRABB and assigns all that parcel of land containing One hundred and Forty acres be the same more or less scitaute in the FORREST of NOMINI in the Parish and County aforesaid and being the moiety of two hundred and eighty acres of land formerly purchased by OSMON CRABB, deceased, Father of said DANIEL CRABB, of HENRY ASHTON, Gent., and OSMON CRABB by his Last Will and Testament bearing date the twenty fifth day of January Anno Dom; 1719 bequeathed the Two hundred and eighty acres of land to his two Sons. OSMON and GERRARD CRABB, to be equally divided between them and their heirs and now the said GERRARD being since deceased without issue his part of which land becomes the Right of DANIEL CRABB, party to these presents, as being his Elder Brother and heir at Law; And also the remainder and reversion thereof: To have and to hold the land and premises with appurtenances unto JOHN CRABB and assigns during the term of one year to the intent that by virtue thereof and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession JOHN CRABB may be in the actual possession of the Land and be enabled to take a release of the inheritance thereof; Witness whereof the parties to these presents their hands and seals interchangeably have set the day and year first above written
