No Grant obtained but ffranklin and Spellman sold to Robert King of said Co. who by Will. 25 Sept 1693, gave to Robert Ball and Gerrard Ball of Westmoreland Co. To Robert Sparrow of Westmoreland "100 acres in Cople Parish, part of a patent granted to William Walker, late of this county, deceased, and by the last will and testament bequeathed to WILLIAM WALKER his son who sold 100 acres to Samuel Earle" who sold to Thomas Duran whose will passed it to Ball. "[B]ounden by land of William Bayly being part of the said patent, on the land of Robert Bennett and William Garland and on the head of Blyses' Creek . . ." [This is the same land sold to Earle by Walker in 1672. A later deed on 7/7/1706 indicate it passed to Richard Hap[r]wood.]

For £76 sterling. 100 acres, one half of a patent granted to John Hull 8 Oct. 1650 which 200 acres was by deed from the Proprietors of the Northern Neck of Virginia granted to Robert Ball and Gerrard Ball as escheat from Thomas Dodson 20 Jan. 1708 ... the said 100 acres being the uppermost part of the 200 acres ... bounded by the lowermost part in the possession of Robert and lands now in the possession of Jeremiah Garland, the lands of John Critcher and James Coleman.

IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen I ROBERT BALL of Cople Parish in Westmoreland County in the Colony of Virginia being desirous to settle my affaires in order before I leace this world. & finding myself to draw near my expected time being sick and weak of body but of sound & perfect mind & memory praised be God for it, do make this my last Will & Testament utterly revokeing makeing void & of none effect all other Wills by me formerly made, ratifieing & confirming this & no other to he my last Will & Testament in manner & form following, First of all, having thro the meritts & mediation of every blessed Redeemer made my peace with God, I recommend my Soul into the hands of its wise Creator and comitt my body to the ground to be decently buried and as touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased the Lord to bestow upon me.
