      Item. I give unto my son BRYAN CHADWELL 50 acres of Land I bought of DAVID ANDERSON
      Item I give all the rest of my Estate to all my Children to be equally divided amongst them after my Debts is paid.
      Item I desire my Son Bryan Chadwell be my whole & Sole Executor .. this 31 day of January 1731/2.

      At Court held for Stafford County 10:th day of May 1732 Will of JOHN CHADWELL deced was presented in Court by GEORGE CHADWELL who made oath thereto .. admitted to record & Bryan Chadwell the Exr therein named having relinquished his Exeship & the said George performing what the Laws require .. Certificate was granted him for obtaining Letters of Administrn:

      TO ALL XPIAN PEOPLE to whom this present writing shall come I JOHN CHADWELL of STAFFORD County, Cooper, send Greeting in our Lord Everlasting this 6th; day of Novembr: 1697. Now Know ye that I the said JOHN CHADWELL for the sum of Eight thousand pounds of tobacco in hand paid before the sealing & delivery hereof by these presents have granted unto WILLIAM FITZHUGH of STAFFORD County his heires and assignes forever one parcel or tract of Land conteyning Three hundred & fifty acres scituate & being in Richmond County, formerly RAPPAHANOCK County, and in the Freshes thereof, being part of a Patent of Two thousand acres of Land granted to Colnll, JOHN CATLETT dated 2d: of June 1666, & by him sold to WILLIAM & LEONARD CLAYBURNE the 8th: of Septembr: 1668, & by severall meane conveyances sold & made over to me the said JOHN CHADWELL my heires & assignes for ever as appeares by the County Court Record of RAPPAHANNOCK, Beginning at the mouth of a Run call'd CLAYBURNES SWAMP wch: Run devided the said land from a tract of land sold by Mr. JOHN WAUGH to Doctr: EDWD. MADOX out of the aforesaid granted Patent of Two thousand acres & extending up the River North North West to a marked tree by the River side which is the deviding corner tree betwixt this land & a tract of land lately belonging to GEO: SHEPHEARD, & from the said tree into the woods by a line of marked trees East North East which is the deviding line betwixt this land & the said GEORGE SHEPHEARDs, from thence by s line of marked trees South Southeast to a marked Hickory a corner tree of the aforesaid Doctr: EDWARD MADOX line to a marked Beech by the Run of CLAYBURNES SWAMP aforesaid, finally downs the said branch to the first beginning, with all & singular its rights & appurtinances belonging, To have to hold the said Land un to the said WM. FITZHUGH his heires & assigns forever, And I the said JOHN CHADWELL for myself my heires the said Tract of Land before sold will warrant & forever defend from the claimer of any manner of persons whatsoever and that it is freely & clearly acquitted & discharged from all manner of other incombrances whatsoever.
