    • 1738: 2:234 DEED OF SALE 25 January 1738 William Remey of Hanover Parish, planter, to Henry Drake of same. 3000-pounds tobacco and 12 pounds 10 shillings current money for two tracts of land. One 50A tract bounded by William Carter's orchard, John Dodd's spring branch, and Joseph Carpenter. One 100A tract being that land that William Sarjant left to his Godson William Witteredge and bounded by the line of William Carter's near Mattox Park, Brown's, Roe's, John Chin's and Thomas Randolfs. Signed William Remey. Delivered in presence of John Beddo, William Clator, Clapham Drake. Barbary Remey, wife of William Remey, relinquished her Right of Dower. Recorded 2 February 1738 T. Turner.
