I have learned: Peregrine was born in mid/late 1590's. 26 February 1613/14 he was admitted to Emmanuel College which trained Anglican Ministers. 4 August 1642 granted 1000 acres on north side of Piankatank River, which would be the Middlesex County side of that river. 6 January 1638/39 Burgess. 20 July 1638 witness will in York County, again indicating he was Anglican Minister. 11 June 1647 died suddenly in Lynnhaven Parish while traveling.
Hope appears to have been only living child at his death. If he had son or sons, eldest son would have inherited land grant. If had other daughters they would have shared equally with Hope. Figure she was born ca 1630, as she repatented the land grant in Jan 1650/51must have been when she became of legal age. Died Bef. 20 August 1687 The Beamont/Miller Deed indicates that Hope Bland had died by this time and she had devised the Bland Patent to her son William Beamont in her will. To my knowledge no will has been found for Hope Bland or Hope Beamont (or any variations of those two names). Perhaps Rowland Beamont, her husband had died and she had remarried prior to her death. William had also inherited, besides the 1000 acres from mother-- Hope, Sear's Patent and Beamont Affidavit, States William Beamont's father was Rowland "Beaumont", who was about 24 years of age when he gave his deposition in York County on 21 May 1660 and who also patented land in Warwick County in 1663/4. William married Elizabeth Hughs Oct 1687 Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County, Virginia. Mary _?_ by 1695 when her name appears a dower relinquishing her rights in deeds, and maybe Sarah _?_ as his third wife as she was admins. of his will or she could have been his oldest living daughter and with no living sons. He died by Nov 1700, bond made for Sarah as administrator of his estate.
There is an Indenture made 20 August 1687 Deed Book )S-1A Middlesex, VA between William Beaumont and Patrick Miller. For selling to Patrick Miller one hundred acres of the one thousand acres that was granted to Perigrine Bland and later granted to Hope Bland "daughter and heire to the aforesaid Peregrine Bland" dated 19th day January 1650." and goes one to say "and by the last Will and Testament of the said Hope Bland, mother to the aforesaid William Beamont, did give and bequeath the same unto the same Wm.Beamont as sonn(sic) and heire (sic) of the said mother Hope Bland"
