Northumberland County. Wee ye subscribed being indifferently chosen by GEO: CLARKE and RICHD: GIBBLE to aribtrate all differences between ym: concerning Land but more especially to ascertaine their Line of Division, to appoint ye paymt. of Court charges lately expended about ye p:mises; to find whether damage ought to be had for falling & deading of m:rkt. trees, clearing of land and falling of Timber by ye sd:CLARKE, to know how a Fence shalbe disposed off sett up by ye sd: CLARKE, nigh & upon ye land of ye sd: GIBBLE, doe award as folloveth;
First, that their line of Division for ye future shall begin at a m:rked white Oake standing neare ye River side, and ye sd: CLARKEs Landing Place, & from thence to follow ye old line to ye upper end of ye cleared Land, to a new marked pohikory, & from thence upon an exact line (hereafter to be markt. N. & by E.) three hundred & twenty poles into ye woods from ye river side & that noe intrenchment be hereafter made over ye sd: line by the pson not interested;
2y. That ye sd: GEORGE CLARKE in Roome of thos markt. trees by him fallen & deaded either marke new nigh ye old or else sett up posts wch: he must renew as they decay; & when this is done to give notice to ye sd: GIBBLE that then ye said CLARKE shalbe cleared of damages, but shallpay all costs of suit;
31y, That ye fence sett up by ye sd. CLARKE shall not be removed by any partie or pulled downe or otherwise destroyed. In Wittness that this is or: award wee have sett to or: hands ye 18th of May 1667.
