      - Order of Administracon is granted to MARY WARD, Widow of SAMLL. WARD, upon all & singular the Estate of the sd SAMUELL, she giving in good securitie to be accountable &c.
      - MARY WARD, together with JOHN GRAY & HENRY LONGE, do acknowledge them selves Indebted to their Majties. Justices of the Peace for this County in the just sum of 10000 lbs. of tobb & casks to be pd unto the sd Justices &c. in case the sd MARY WARD shall not truly administer the Estate of her deced Husband, SAMLL. WARD, comitted to her by this Court
      - Ordered that Mr. FRAN: SLAUGHTER, MARTIN JOHNSON &, JAMES BOULWARE do sometime between this & the next Court held for this County Inventory & appraise all & singular the Estate of SAMLL. WARD deced and make report thereof under their hands in writing to the sd next Court. BERNARD GAINES is requested to be prsent at the time aforesd. to administer an Oath to the sd appraisers for their due appraisemt. as also to the Relict of the sd SAMLL. WARD for the true discovery of the sd Estate

      KNOW ALL MEN that I CHRISTOPHER BLACKBOURNE of the County of Rappa. do hereby sell conveigh and make over from me my heirs all my right and interest of a tract of land that was taken up in Copartnership betweene myselfe and WILLIAM GRAY as by a Pattent appears being foure hundred six and odd more or less the said land I doe hereby together with the Consent of my Wife CATHARINE acknowledge to have sold unto SAMUEL WARD and SAMUEL PEACHEY for good causes and consideration do for the valuable consideration of Seven thousand pounds of good tobacco to us in hand paid and received the Receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and ourselves fully satisfied and paid and do therefore hereby accordingly sell conveigh and make over all our right & title of the within land being four hundred sixty odd acres more or less scituate in the said County on the South side the River in the Freshes of Sittingbourne being next to the land of CORNELIUS NOELL beginning at a marked red Oak and runing thence So, So. W. thence W. 87 po. To have and to hold the said land to them the sd WARD and PEACHEY their heirs and assigns forever from us or any other person claiming under us the same to enjoy with all woods waters water courses with all other rights thereunto belonging and we do hereby bind ourselves to acknowledge this our Deed either by ourselves or our knowne attorney at the next Court held for the said County of Rappa. and this wee doe acknowledgle to bee our free and voluntarie act and deed and for the better and more sure making and confirmation hereof we have hereunto sett our hands & seals the second day of Januarie in the yeare 1673

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I SAMUEL WARD of the Parish of Sittingbourn in the County of Rappa being of good & perfect mind and without fraud or deceipt for the love good will and affection wch I have and beare towards my Friend MARY NOELL Daughter of CORNELIUS NOELL of the Parish and County aforesaid have given granted and confirmed unto the abovesd MARY NOELL two hundred acres of land to hir and hir heirs or assigns forever the said land being part of a tract of three hundred fifty two acres abovesaid two hundred acres being part thereof and formerly taken up by NICHOLAS BURKETT deceased as will appear by a Pattent in the Secretaries Office according to the antient lawful bounds thereof & Escheated by DAVID FAULKNER of Major JOHN WEIRE Escheater for the sd County as may further appear by an Inquisition recorded in the Secretaries Office under the hand and seal of Major JOHN WEIRE dated the 4th of November 1668 and since purchased of the said FAULKNER by me SAMUEL WARD the said land adjoyning to the land of CORNELIUS NOELL now Resident neare POPOMAN CREEK or Branch according to the antient bounds of the abovesaid 200 acres as may appeare by a Bill of Saile from the sd FAULKNER bearing date the 4th of November 1672 and recorded in the Records of Rappa and further I the said WARD doe hereby freely tolerate & allow that the said CORNELIUS NOELL may & shall if he sees fit occupy and make sale of any part of the abovesd specified 200 acres during his naturall life moreover the said land with all rights and priviledges as is expressed in a Pattent at large dated the llth of October 1670 I doe hereby give fully and freely as above expressed peaceably and quietly without any manner of Reclaime challenge or Contradiction of and from me SAMUEL WARD or of any other persons by any means and with out any account, reckoning or answer therefore to me or any in my name to be given or done in time to come so that neither I the said WARD nor any other persons at any time hereafter may claime or demand in or to the premises or any part thereof and in case the abovesaid MARY NOELL shall dye without having any heirs
      that then the said 200 acres to Retainc to MARY GAINES or hir heirs forever as Witness
