      THIS INDENTURE made this nine and twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand six hundred eighty and six between ALEXANDER NEWMAN and ELIZ, his Wife of the County of Rappa: Virginia, Planter, of the one part and WILLIAM ACERS of the County of LANCASTER, Planter, of the other part Witnesseth that the said ALEXANDER NEWMAN and ELIZABETH his Wife for a valluable consideration to them in hand paid do grant unto the sd WILLIAM ACERS Two hundred acres of land being in the Parish of Farnham in the sd County of Rappa: as by the Survey plot thereof made may appeare which sd Two hundred acres of land is parte of a dividend of land containing Six hundred acres bearing date the 20th of Nov: 1664, and part of a parcell of land taken up joyning upon the abovesd Pattent being in the Parish and County aforesaid formerly pattented by JOHN NEWMAN, Father to the abovesaid NEWMAN, as by the Pattent thereof may appeare To have and to hold the sd land with every of their appurtenances unto the said WILLIAM ACERS his heires forever in as large and ample manner as are expressed in the originall Patent of the whole Dividend & by the rents & services mencioned to be due and payable and the said ALEXANDER NEWMAN and ELIZABETH his Wife do agree to warrant and keep indemnified the said land unto the said WILIAM ACERS against all persons whatsoever In Witness whereof ye have sett our hands and seales

      KNOW ALL MEN by these prsents that I ELIZABETH NEWMAN, Wife to ALEXANDER NEW- MAN, of the County of Rappa: depute and confirme my Loving Friend, Mr. WILLIAM SMOOTE, to be my true and lawful' Attorney for me to acknowledge unto WILLIAM ACERS my right of Dower of Two hundred acres of land as by Bill of Sale will appeare As Witness my hand and seale this 5th day of May 1686
