      THIS INDENTURE made the fifteenth day of November in the 6th year of the Reign of our most gracious Sovereign Lord and Lady William and Mary by the grace of God &c. Anoq: Dom: 1693, Between SIBILLA HALL of LIMEHOUSE in the Parish of STEPNEY and County of MIDDLESEX, Widow, and SAMLL. PHILLIPS of the same Parish and County, Mariner, of the one part and GEORGE DAVENPORT of Richmond County in Rappahanock River in Virginia, Planter, and WILLIAM DAVENPORT and FORTUNATUS DAVENPORT of the County of LANCASTER in Rappahannock River aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said SIBILLA HALL and SAMLL. PHILLIPS for a good and valuable consideration in hand paid them by the said GEORGE DAVONPORT, WILLIAM DAVONPORT and FORTUNATUS DAVONPORT or one of them doth fully and absolutely grant them the said GEORGE DAVONPORT, WM: DAVONPORT and FORTUNATUS DAVONPORT their heirs & assigns and every of them all that Plantation containing One thousand acres of Land lying and being in the County of Richmond, (late RAPPAHANOCK) in Rappahanock River on the North side thereof upon the head of MORATTICO CREEK and bounded as followeth (via) beginning at a marked Poplar upon a Branch of the said CREEK running North Easterly for breadth Five hundred poles from a marked Spanish Oak, South East for one mile from marked Spanish Oak, South Westerly running by the side of the Main Branch, Northwest to the place where it began and was granted unto WILLIAM HALL (upon the Assignment of RICHARD MERRIMAN) by Patent bearing date the fifth day of December 1666, as by the said Patent relation being thereunto had may appear, together with all houses orchards gardens fences and enclosures belonging and now are in the tenure and occupation of the said GEORGE DAVENPORT, To have and to hold the said One thousand acres of Land with its appurtinances unto the said GEORGE DAVENPORT, WILLIAM DAVENPORT and FORTUNATUS DAVENPORT their heirs and assigns forever together with all profit's and emoluments belonging in as large and ample manner as are expressed in the aforementioned Patent of the said Land, And by the Rents services & provisions in the said Patent mentioned and expressed and kept harmless from all other charges and incum.brances heretofore made by the said SIBILLA HALL and SAMUEL PHILLIPS or by any other persons whatsoever (the Rents which from henceforth shall grow due to their Majesties or Honorable Proprietors out of the premiss., only excepted and foreprized) And that they the mid SIBILLA HALL and SAMUEL PHILLIPS their heirs & assigns will forever hereafter warrant the said land and premises against all manner of persons that may challenge or demand any part under them, And further the said SIBILLA HALL and SAMUEL PHILLIPS do hereby grant that they will at all times acknowledge or cause to be acknowledged all such further lawfull acts in the Law for the further and more better assuring of the aforesaid bargained premisses. PHILLIPS of LONDON, Mercht., have made JOHN SOAR of the City of LONDON, Mariner, the Bearer hereof, my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my name to sue for recover & receive from GEORGE DAVONPORT. WM. DAVONPORT & FORTUNATUS DAVONPORT of Rappahanock River in Virginia or any of them or their heirs, goods or effects & from all & every such other persons whom it Both or may concern, Six thousand weight of tobacco resting due & unpaid of the consideration for which I formerly sold a Plantation in Virginia aforesaid to JOHN DAVONPORT deced, Father to the sd. GEORGE, WM:, & FORTUNATUS DAVONPORT wch: Plantation now is or late was in their possession upon the recoveries & receipt of the sd tobacco with due cost. damages & interest to make & give sufficient acquittance and discharge & if need be touching the premisses for me to appear & my Person to represent in all Courts & before all Lords Judges & Justices and to pursue_ implead seize arrest & imprison & condemn and out of prison again if need shall be to deliver & generally to do all & whatsoever I myselfe might or cou'd do personally, altho the matter required more special authority than herein is comprized, I
      hereby promising to hold & ratifie for good & valid all & whatsoever my said Attorney shall lawfully do in the premisses by Virtue hereof.
