The proprietors of the Northerneck by pattent 28 June 1697 did grant unto me William Hammock 161 acres in Youcomoco Forest ... corner tree to the land of Clay ... line of Robert Middleton ... line of George Harrison ... swamp in the line of John White ... The bounds of the said pattent contain within them as well the plantation and lands of John Hadley which he now liveth upon being 131 acres part of the 161 acres, as also 30 acres containing the plantation of me William Hammock on which I now live formerly purchased of Thomas Lamkin, deceased, between which 131 acres and 30 acres there is a dividing line. I, William Hamock (as for the 131 acres) did pattent the same in my owne name but in trust for the behoof of John Headly. William Hamock
