Description; Parcel of land about 3 miles from Herring Bay and known by Deavours Range, which Richard Deavour and Grace, his wife formerly of AA Co. to a Henry Archer, AA Co. on 3 Mar 1678 and recorded in the records of said court, which Archer was the father to Margaret Scott, mother of the said Samuel Scott to whom he gave the said land and Margaret Scott afterwords gave to Samuel Scott.
The tract bordered the land of Benjamin Wells, that was in possession of Major William Burges, then to land in possession of Thomas Ford called Goway Banks, this tract was laid out for 220 acres.
