Benjamin Bateman Jr's will.
I, Benjamin Bateman of CC, am sick and weak of body but of a sound and perfect memory.
To my nephew James Bateman - 1 bay horse colt. named Davy.
To my daughter Penelope Batman - 1 mare and the colt that came of the same mare, 1 cow and 1 yearling, 1 feather bed, bedstead, and furniture that I now lie on, and 1 large chest, 1 pewter dish I bought of Thomas Higg, and 6 pewter plates,
To my son Benjamin Batman - 1 heifer and 1 calf and 1 Coeepe dish and 3 old pewter plates and 1 old gun.
To my loving daughter Elizabeth Batman - 1 shilling sterling, and no more.
To my daughter Penelope Batman and my son Benjamin Batman - the rest of my estate, both real and personal, after my just debts are paid.
