May 4, 1731 - John Holmes, planter, of Hamilton Parish in Prince William Co., and Mary his wife, deed to Thomas Whitledge, Jr., of Prince William Co., in exchange for 100 acres, 130 acres on the south side of the Occaqan on Lucky Run Branch, adjoining property belonging to Richard Tidwell. Witnesses: David Davies, Thomas Simson, William Clifton, Valentine Peyton and Thomas Harrison, Jr.

Richard Heabeard and willed to my mother Sibell Whitledge and the heirs of her body and being part of a patent commonly called Popes patent....standing near the said Heabeards cleare ground south side of Chappawamsick Run....deed of lease and release.

At court June 19, 1734 Thomas Whitledge acknowledged this release with receipt endorsed to Burr Harrison.
Pages 267--269. Thomas Whitledge of Parish of Hamilton Pr. Wm. am held and firmly bound unto Burr Harrison in 100 lbs. sterl. dated June 19, 1734. The condition of this obligation is such that the above bound Thomas Whitledge hath granted Burr Harrison a tract of land containing 200 a., now if the above bound Thomas Whitledge shall observe the covenants and agreement ought to be observed mentioned in the aforesaid indenture of release, then Thomas Whitledge shall warrant and for ever defend the aforesaid then this obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue. GEORGE the Second to JOSEPH HUDNALL, RICHARD BLACKBURN, JOHN WRIGHT of the County of Prince William gent, Know ye that we trusting to your fidelity in privately examining ANN the Wife of THOMAS HARRISON of the said County Gent touching her consent to execute certain Indentures of Lease & Release bearing date the twenty sixth & twenty sixth day of March MDCCXLIV made between THOMAS HARRISON by the name of THOMAS HARRISON JUNR. of the Parish of Hamilton and County of Prince William Gent. and THOMAS WHITLEDGE of the same for conveying unto the said THOMAS WHITLEDGE and his heirs a parcel! of land on CEDAR RUN in the County aforesaid containing One hundred and Sixteen acres in receiving the acknowledgement of said ANN her consent being first declared we command you to examine her privately touching the premises aforesaid and her examination thereupon to our Justices of our County Court of Prince William without delay you shall distinctly return & certify to this Writ annexed.
