      Prince William County Virginia, Will Book C 1734-1744 by John Frederick Dorman: Pages 161-62. Will of Joseph Buchanan, dated-23 Nov. 173R. -Joseph Buchanan of _Prince Wm. County and Parish of Hamilton being sick and weak in body.
      To my loving wife Elizabeth Buchanan all my estate both real and personal during her natural life or Widowhood and after that my moveables: to be equally divided amongst my children, my land to be eaually divided amongst my sons (Vizt) John Buchanan, Joseph Buchanan; Neavill Buchanan, Wm. Buchanan George Buchanan, all to be distributed by my loving wife as aforesd. whom I make and ordain as my whole and sole executrix together with my loving brothers Georg Neavill and Joseph Minter my executors.

      TO ALL TO WHOM these presents writings shall come Greeting. Know ye that We THOMAS FALKNER and ELIZABETH his Wife of FAIRFAX COUNTY for the natural love and good will which we do bear unto our loving Sons NEAVILL and WILLIAM BUCHANAN {sic Bohannon} of Prince William County do give and make over a certain tract of land in the said County containing One hundred and eighty acres which I bought of JOHN MINTER of ESSEX COUNTY and likewise another tract of land which I took up adjoyning to the same and by a line right across both tracts to be equally divided between them together with all the houses and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging they their heirs paying the Quitrents due and accustomed to be paid for the same and we do hereby warrant the said tracts of land unto the said NEAVILL BUCHANAN and WILLIAM BUCHANAN and unto their heirs forever from claim of us our heirs by any means whatsoever. In Testimony whereof we have set our hands and affixed our Seals this 25th day of November 1745
