      THE DEPOSITION of MICHAEL REAGAN aged sixty seven years or thereabouts being worn a witness between JOHN CARLYLE Plaintiff and CHARLES ALEXANDER Defendant an Ejectment now Depending in the County Court of Fairfu Deposeth and saith that about forty years ago one MICHAEL DUNGHIll made some ti.od of contract with EVAN THOMAS or JOHN TODD for part of their land on FOUR MILE RUN and lived some time on the said land and then went away or absconded and some time aiterwards EVAN THOMAS came up and began to seat on the said 1and himself and soon dyed and after his death his Widow and children came up and lived on the place where the said THOMAS had beIU. o to seI1 and continued to live on it (or several years and this Deponent never heard that the said THOMAS's widow ever met with any interrupuon whilst she lived on the said plantation, the Deponent abo says that DOC'IlIt DUNGHILL's was the first settlement and EVAN THOMAS's the second that was made 0.0 FOUR MILE RUN above CHUBS MIll and that DUNGHIll's settlement was neara Mill above EVAN THOMAS's up the run. the Deponent says that he has understood by the neilhbours that Al.EIANDERs land would taken away part of the land taken up by ROBERTSON near CHAPMAN's Quarter where JAMES GREEN now lives, he also says that CHAPMAN had a quarter there near thirty years ago and his Deponent has never heard whether he has ever been interrupted or not. he also says that he understood that CHUBB and was a tenant to old MA,JlR ROBERT ALEXANDER and that one Lilliard son in law to CHUBB built a house in the upper side of CBUBBs comfield and worked the same plantation but lived there but a short time and worked very little ground and that the house built by LIllIARD stood some distance above CHUBB's MIll up FOUR MILE RUN and this Deponent says he was told by THOMAS and TODD and one PETER GUiNN that the land belonged to them all three and this Deponent further saith that he allways understood that the Widow THOMAS intermarried with one RIGBY and further saith not.
      The Witness attended the Survey two days MICHAEL REAGAN

      THE DEPOSITION of JOHN SUMMERS &led upwards of Seventy years bein. sworn a witness between JOHN CARlYLE Plaintiff and CHARLES ALEXANDER Defendant in an Ejectment depending in the County Court of Fairfu Deposeth ud saith that upwards of thirty years ago EVAN THOMAS came up and seated on FOUR MILE RUN ud on his own...he further says that the land he mentions above was sometimes called ALEXANDERs back line and sometimes his North line, this Deponent says CHUBBS MILL was built by one LILLIARD who died and CHUBB married his Widow and then the Mill was called CHUBBS MILL and both LILLIARD and CHUBBs were tenuts to ALEXANDER and lived on the East side the lower long branch.
      This Deponent says that young LILLIARD near ud on the upper west side of the long branch but clear'd no land ucept room for a House ud the said LILLIARD lived there but a very short time and this Deponent never bew whether he paid rent to any person or no: this Deponent believes he shewed the place or near it where the said house of young LILLIARD stood to the Surveyor on the survey betveen ALEX.ANDER ud AWBREY, this Deponent says that Doctor DUNGHIll 'Was the first ud EVAN THOMAS was the second that sewed on FOURMILE RUN above FOUR MILE RUN above CBUBBS MIll sd plutation. This Deponent says that before the survey between ALEXANDER ud AWBREY which he attended he never bew that uy person to the westward of the North side which run near CHUBBS Mill ever was or a.cbowledged themselves Tenants to ALEXANDER. This Deponent says that in mating the survey of SIMON PEAR
