Mary Turner, Will, July 7, 1825; October 11, 1825
I, Mary Turner of CC, being infirm of body, but of sound mind and memory;
To son William Turner, the plantation lying on Swanson Creek exclusive of 12 acres of the marsh which I give to my daughter Margaret D. Gibbons. Also negro Jacob.
To son Joseph A. Turner, negroes Ned, Davy, John, and Flora and her child. Also the money he collected of
Allen Brightwell.
To son John L. Turner, the plantation he now resides. Also negro Priscilla.
To grandson Jeremiah Turner, negro Jeremiah.
To daughter Margaret D. Gibbons the plantation where I formerly lived and a part of “Welch’s Plains” , running to a stake planted in the Old Fields, thence north to the outline. Also my horse and carriage. Also 1 acre of
land at the graveyard and my bureau.
To son Jesse Turner the plantations bought of Joseph Barker and the balance of “Welch’s Plains” and to pay
unto daughter Catharine Ann Morton 200 dollars.
To daughter Catharine Ann Morton, negroes Clem, Alfred and Eliza, also my loom and stays.
To grandchildren, (Henry McPherson’s children) all the notes that I hold of Henry McPherson and a note on
Doctor John W. McPherson to be paid to them as they come to age.
To Henry McPherson, negro Henry.
Item: son John L. Turner to pay my daughter Catharine Ann Morton 300 dollars
Item: all my household property and stock to be equally divided between my children.
To grandson George A. M. Turner, negro Henson.
