Alexius Mudd, Will, January 9, 1800; May 28, 1800
I, Alexius Mudd of CC being sick and weak of obdy but of sound mind and memory and disposing judgement
To wife Jane Mudd the use of all my land called Boarman's Reserve containing 200 acres where I now dwell during her widowhood and then to my two sons Thomas Alexnader Mudd, and Henry Mudd.
To daughter Sarah Mudd, negroes, Sarah and her vhild Frank, and Matilda.
To sons Thomas Alexnader Mudd, and Henry Mudd, negroes, Joe, Mary and Hannah to be equally divided when eldest son Thomas Alexander Mudd arrives at the age of 21 yrs.
To daughter Sarah Mudd, a horse, saddle and bridle when she arrives to the age of 16 yrs.
To son Thomas Alexander Mudd, a horse, saddle and bridle when she arrives to the age of 21 yrs.
To son Henry Mudd, a horse, saddle and bridle when she arrives to the age of 21 yrs.
To wife Jane, negroes, Primcis, Walt, Peggy, Cecily and her youngest child Nelly. Also the remaining part of my estate during her life and after her death to my children

Samuel Edelen, Will, April 6, 1807; May 19, 1807
I, Samuel Edelen of CC, being infirm of body but of sound mind and memory;
To nephews Thomas Alexander Mudd, and Henry Mudd (sons of Alexius Mudd) all my right title and claim of land called "Land Turnum" {"Lanternam"} (agreeable to my fathers last will and testament), divided equally.
To sister Minty Edelen, 40 dollars
To niece Teresa Simms, daughter of Thomas Simms, negro girl Nancy.
To nephew James Edelen, son of Richard Edelen, negro James.
To sister Dorothy Gardiner, negroes Ben Isaac and Monica. Also my riding horse and plated bridle.
To Reverend Doctor Angier, 1000 pounds of tobacco.
To Joseph Gardiner Sr's children all my right title and claim of land in the "Mill Lott", also my part of tract of land lying between Mrs Barker and W. George Gibbons, agreeable to my fathers last will and testament.
To poor, 1000 pounds of tobacco.
To nephew Thomas Alexander Mudd, my saddle and half curb bridle.
To nephew Philip Gardiner, son of Charles Gardiner, 100 pounds.
To niece Elizabeth Gardiner, daughter of Charles Gardiner, 50 pounds.
To niece Sarah Gardiner, daughter of Charles Gardiner, 50 pounds.
To niece Maria Gardiner, daughter of Joseph Gardiner, 50 pounds.
To Henry Thomas Mudd, the liberty getting down wood out of my part of Zachia Swamp during his life. Also 1000 pounds of tobacco to educate Nicholas Blandford's son.
To brother Philip Edelen, all my accounts and claims against him.
To Henry Thomas Mudd, all my part of land called "Land Turnum" {"Lanternam"}, also my part of the "Mill Lott" agreeable to my fathers last will and testament. Also negroes; Monica, Ben, Isaac, James, Nancy. I will that the said Henry T. Mudd shall hold the above mentioned property for 6 years to satisfy my debts.
