THIS INDENTURE made the fourth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Seventy four Between FRANCES BALLENDINE Spinster of County of Prince William of one part and ALEXANDRER BRUCE of other part Witnesseth that FRANCES BALLENDINE for sum of Five Shillings paid to her by ALEXANDER BRUCE has sold ALEXANDER BRUCE his heirs fifity full square ( ) of that lott or acre of land being in TOWN of DUMFRIES purchased by said FRANCES BALLENDINE from BERTRAND EWELL and on the opposite of the Street from REGINAL GRAHAM's now in occupation of WILLIAM JENKINS To have and to hold unto ALEXANDER BRUCE his heirs and assigns in as full manner as the Lotts in said TOWN are vested in the Trustees In Witness wherof FRANCES BALLENDINE hath set her hand and seal
