      THIS INDENTURE made the Twenty 7th day of April in the twenty first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second of Great Britain &c and in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Forty nine Between WILLIAM TWYMAN of ORANGE County in Colony of Virginia, Tailor, of one part and EDWARD DAVIS of Essex County, Schoolmaster, of other part; Witnesseth that WILLIAM TWYMAN in consideration of the sum of Thirty pounds current money of this Colony to said WILLIAM TWYMAN in hand paid by EDWARD DAVIS, by these presents doth sell & confirm unto EDWARD DAVIS his heirs a certain tract of land that my Father, GEORGE TWYMAN bought of WILLIAM HALL as by Record will appear and is part of one thousand and eighty acres granted to said HALL by a Pattent dated the 11th day of July 1719 the land lying in County of Essex on Branches of HOSKINS's CREEK and part in KING & QUEEN County on Branches of SADLE SWAMP and bounded, Beginning at a small red Oake in EDWARD DAVIS's line and runing thence East South East along Goll GOLDMANs line till you come against a Pine and red Oake standing by Coll GOODRICHes and Mr. AUBREYs Corner white Oake, thence along their line and EDWARD DAVIS's line to the place it first began, all the above mentioned land together with all houses orchards commodities and appurtenances to the same belonging; To have and to hold unto EDWARD DAVIS his heirs; And WILLIAM TWYMAN his heirs will warrant and forever defend by these presents and that the land shall be and remain free and clear or otherwise clearly indemnified from all In cumbran ces whatsoever, saving to our Lord the King his heirs, In Witness whereof the parties to these presents interchangably have set their hands and seals the day and year above written

      THIS INDENTURE made Nineteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven Between WILLIAM BLEDSOE SENR. of the County of Culpeper and ELIZABETH his Wife of the one part and WILLIAM TWYMAN of the same County of the other part; Witnesseth that WILLIAM BLEDSOE and ELIZABETH his Wife in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and Twenty five pounds Cash to them in hand paid by said WILLIAM TWYMAN, have bargained and sold unto WILLIAM TWYMAN his heirs a certain parcel of land lying in County of Culpeper containing by estimation Two hundred and Twenty five acres be the same more or less, it being part of a tract of Four hundred and thirty acres of land purchased by said BLEDSOE of the GRYMES's and is bounded, begining at two Pines and Hicory in TWYMANs Line, thence nearly South with BRUCE's Line to two white Oaks & Maple, corner in SISENs Line, thence North sixty two West to two Pines and red Oak, thence nearly North with YAGERs line to two Pines, BROOKINs Line, thence South seventy East to the begining, And all houses orchards profits and appurtenances to the same belonging; And all estate right title and demand of said WILLIAM BLEDSOE and ELIZABETH his Wife idn or to the land with the appurtenances; To have and to hold the land to the sole Luse of WILLIAM TWYMAN his heirs; And WILLIAM BLEDSOE and ELIZABETH his Wife their heirs and all other persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend the same clear of any incumbrances debts or demands by these presents; In Witness whereof WILLIAM BLEDSOE &ELIZABETH his Wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day & year first above written
