- Whereas CHARLES RANGER, one of the Surveyours of this County, hath begun to cleare and mende the Highway leadeing from THOMAS MARTYNs Path to DEEPE BOTTOM and it plainely appeareing to this Cort: that the sde, RANGER cannot finish the same wth. the families hee hath ordered hym in his pr:cincts wth:out over burthening those few families hee hath, It is ordered that for the cleareing and mendeing of ye sde. Highway for the pr:sent occasion that the sde. RANGER doe beinge and take in the families of Mr. THOMAS MARSHALL, THOMAS BARKER, Coll, EDWARD CARTER, Capt. RICHARD TAYLOR, RICHARD PRICE, THOMAS MARTYN, THOMAS PHILLIPS & WM: BENDALL, and that the sde, p:sons are required forthwth: to helpe ye sde. - MATHEW SPARKE peticoning this Court declareing that whereas hee came a Servt, into MARYLAND and belonging to Capt, PETER PAGAN and comeing from thence into this Colony of Virga: and beinge taken upp by SAMUEL JUELL, was delivered into the possession of Capt. RICHARD TAYLOR, where hee hath beene for this three yeres last past, and desireing the Judgemt, of this Court to know whether the saide TAYLOR hath any right to keepe hym, and if soe, to know how longe hee is then to serve, the saide SPARKE haveinge noe Indenture, and the saide TAYLOR doclareing that the saide Servt. was purchased by vertue of a paper from Mr. ROBERT PEAKE, who in his power to one SAMUELL JUELL, who was impowered by the saide PEAKE to take upp the saide Runnaway, the saide JUELL was to deliver hym into the saide TAYLORs possession, hee payeing the saide JUELL for soe doeinge foure hundred pds. of tobaccoe and ca., which saide tobaccoe the saide TAYLOR pde. the saide JUELL and further the saide TAYLOR affirmeing that hee hath ( ) due to the saide PEAKE for satisfaccon ( ) and delivered to hym, It is ordered that the saide SPARKE doe serve ( ) from his arrivall, the ( ) his ( )

- Whereas at a Court helde for this County March the 8th Ao Dmi 1681, Order was granted unto Capt. THOMAS HASTED against Capt. RICHARD TAYLOR (deced), for seventeen pounds, fifteene shillings money Sterl. due p a Protested Bill of Exchange wth: costs and damages accordinge to Acte which Order being out of date, it is ordered that the same bee received by Sept. first against the Estate of the saide TAYLOR.
