      [24th day of July 1665] THOMAS PERRYN aged 44 yeares or thereabouts saith that about ye latter end of Januray 1664, THOMAS BARRATT came to mee, this Depont., to borrow a Canvas ( ) of mee to goe aboard Mr. HASKINS Shippe, whereupon I, this Depont., told him yt: I was going aboard my selfe and if hee would goe wth: mee he might, soe I this Depont., coming to RICHARD RICEs Plantacon in my Canoes wth: sd: BARRATT, hee desired mee, this Depont. to putt ashoare at a certaine point, where the sd. BARRATT there was JEREMIAH CANNADY, Mr. SAFFINs Servant, wth: his clothes ready to runway over to MARYLAND, Whereupon this Deponent replyed, for my part I will have no hand in it to carry away another mans servant, neither will I goe wth: you, soe ye sd: CANNADY went into ye Canowe & went downe ye River wth: ye sd: BARRATT, But I, this Depont., stayed behind, & afterwards ye sd. BARRATT brought home my Canowe and told me, this Depont., that he, ye sd: BARRATT, had gott a very convenient passage for ye sd, Servant & that he had sent him away to MARYLAND, & since that time this Deponent nevr: saw ye sd. Servtt: JEREMY CANNADY, and Furthr: this Depont. saith not.

Attorney as full power as any Attorney path or ought to have; As Witnesse my hand & Seale this 19th day of October 1668
