      TO ALL XPIAN PEOPLE to whom these p:sents shall come, I WM: BETTS of GREAT WICOCOMICO in ye County of Northumberland & Colony of Virginia send Greeting; Know yee yt. I ye sd: WM: BETTS wth: ye consent of ELIZABETH my Wife for a valuable consideracon to mee in hand paid; have sold unto WM: MORGAN of ye Citty of BRISTOLL, Merchant, & HENRY ROCK, of ye sd: Cittie, Mariner, that messuage or tenement whereon I now live being in GREAT WICOCOMICO in Northumberland County aforesd:, together with One hundred acres of Land more or lesse; To have & to hold unto ye sd: WILL: MORGAN & HENRY ROCK, their or either of their heires & assignes for ever; And further I ye sd: WILLIAM BETTS doe hereby promise yt: ye sd: messuage to bee free & discharged from all formr: grants unto ye sd: WM: MORGAN & HENRY ROCK or either of them by ye yearly rent referred to his Majesty in ye Pattent; and doe oblige my selfe to make further assurance as shall be reasonably advised; In Wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this 21th 8br: 1667
