Will of GRACE BERRY. I GRACE BERRY of parish of Hanover in the
county of King George .. give and bequeath to my loving Grandson JOHN THORNLY one negro man to be delivered upon the 25th Day of December next Ensuing .. also one Feather bed & furniture which stands now in my chamber & the Large Bible .. all the rest of my negroes & my personal Estate I bequeath to my loving Son in law JOSEPH STROTHER & Loving Daughter MARGARET STROTHER his wife .. appoint my son in law JOSEPH STROTHER my sole Executor .. this 20th day of January 1755.

pp 315-319 Indenture made 26th/27th July 1740 between Alford HEAD of Parish Hamilton County Prince William Planter and Harry TURNER Parish Hanover of King George County.. by deeds of lease & release.. for sum 4000 pounds of crop tobacco sold 100 acres in Hanover Parish adjoining land of William Peck, Robert HARRISON, Grace BERRY, Richard GREEN, William Duff and corners in the Land whereon William Jameson now Dwells belonging to Thomas TURNER which said land was formerly purchased of Robert Peck by William HEAD the Elder & on his Decease the land descended to William Head the Younger who was Heir at Law and Eldest Son of the said William Head the Elder & on the Decease of the said William Head the Younger the same became vested in Alford Head party to these Presents who was the Eldest Son & Heir at Law to William Head the Younger...

In the name of God Amen the 27th day of March 1740 I Anne Marshall being sick but in perfect memory do make this my last will and testament.
First I commend my soul to God and my body I comit to the Earth
Such goods chattels and debts I do dispose of in manner following Viz
Imprimis I give unto Elizabeth Reddish my trunk and all wearing cloaths therein contain'd.
Item I give unto John Gordon I cow and calf and 1 Ewe.
Item I give unto my loving grandson John Buckner a negro woman named Nan together with all the rest of my personal estate and I hereby appoint my loving grandson John Buckner full and sole Executor of this my last will and testament.
