      IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen I ROBERT BALL of Cople Parish in Westmoreland County in the Colony of Virginia being desirous to settle my affaires in order before I leace this world. & finding myself to draw near my expected time being sick and weak of body but of sound & perfect mind & memory praised be God for it, do make this my last Will & Testament utterly revokeing makeing void & of none effect all other Wills by me formerly made, ratifieing & confirming this & no other to he my last Will & Testament in manner & form following, First of all, having thro the meritts & mediation of every blessed Redeemer made my peace with God, I recommend my Soul into the hands of its wise Creator and comitt my body to the ground to be decently buried and as touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased the Lord to bestow upon me. I bequeath & dispose of as followeth
      Imprs, My Will & desire is that all & singular my just debts be paid & satisfied by my Exrs hereafter named
      Item, I give & bequeath unto my Son, ROBERT BALL, all my Land & Dwelling House in YEOCOMOCO NECK to him & his heires & assignes for ever, but in case he dies before he comes of age, to my Son, GEORGE BALL, to him and his heires for ever
      Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son. GEORGE BALL, two thousand pounds of tc,haccc. to be paid out of my- Estate when ne comes at age by my Executor.
      Item, I give and bequeath unto my Son, EMANUEL BALL, one feather bed & furniture, Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son, GERRARD BALL, one two year old Heifer
      Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter. SARAH BALL. one feather bod & furniture. All the rest of my movable Estate, I give & bequeath unto my dear and loving Wife and my two Children. DANIEL & BENONI BALL and the Child she is bigg with if born alive to be equally divided amongst them.
      Item I give and bequeath unto RALPH ELSTON my new Kersey Coat & Breeches
      And Lastly. I nominate & appoint my Brother. GERRARD BALL in MARYLAND, my full sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. whom I desire to take the charge & care of my three Sons, ROBERT, GEORGE and EMANUEL & bring them up till they arrive to the age of eighteen years. In case my Brother refuses to take them, my desire is that they may be bound to some trade by an Order of Court. My will & desire is that my Plantacon be not worked with more than two or three labouring hands. In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal this Twenty Ninth day of May Anno Dmi. 1723

      IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen. I GERRARD BALL of Cople Parish and Westmorland County being very sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be almighty God for the same, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following; First, I give my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who made it hoping thro the merits of Jesus Christ our blessed Saviour and Redeemer to receive full pardon and remission of all my sins, And my body to the Earth to be buryed at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, And as touching my worldly goods & chattels which God of his infinite mercy hath bestowed upon me far beyond my deserts, I give and dispose the same as followeth, (vizt.)
      Imprimis. I give and bequeath unto my Aunt, MARY COURTNEY, for her use during her natural life my Negro woman named Betty and after my said Aunts decease, I give and bequeath the said Negro woman with her future increase to my Brother, SAMUEL BALL and his heirs,
      Item. I give and bequeath unto my Brother, BENONY BALL, eight hundred pounds of tobacco to be paid by my Executors hereafter named towards his Schooling and Education.
      Item. My will & desire is that my Negro woman be delivered imediately after my decease to my aforesaid Aunt during the term aforesaid;
      Item. I give and bequeath all the remaining part of my goods and chattels unto my Brother, SAMUEL BALL, whom I appoint Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, and also I appoint my Brother, GEORGE BALL, and my Neighbor, PETER RUST, Executors in trust to take care of such goods and chattels until my said Brother, SAMUEL BALL arrives to the age of Sixteen years, when I desire he may take the same into his possession; And I do hereby revoke make null void and of no effect all other Will or Wills heretofore by me made either by word or writing, publishing and declaring this to be my Last Will and Testament; In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of June Annoq. Dom: 1737

      This Last Will and Testament of GERRARD BALL, deceased, was presented into Court by PETER RUST and GEORGE BALL, Executors in Trust in the said Will named, who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oath of JAMES THOMAS, JUNIOR, witness thereto, is admitted to Record: And upon the mocon of the said Executors and their performing what is usual in such case, Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form Test G. TURBERVILE, C. C. W.

      Imprimis. I give and bequeath to my Brother, EMANUEL BALL, my bay Horse Saddle and Bridle with Housen, my best sure of Close and two thousand pounds of tobacco to him and his heirs;

I give and bequeath to my Brother, SAMUEL BALL, the remainder of my personal Estate be it of what nature or kind soever to him and his heirs, And I doe heareby nominate and appoint my said Brother, SAMUEL BALL, my hole and sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament; As Witness hereof I have set my hand and seal this Fifteenth day of February Anno Domini 1742-3

At a Court held for the said County the 29th day of March 1743 This Last Will and Testment of GEORGE BALL, deceased, was presented into Court by SAMUEL BALL, his Brother and Executor, who made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oaths of JOHN CRITCHER and PETER RUST, two of the witnesses thereto, is admitted to Record; And upon the motion of the said Executor and his performing what is usual in such cases. Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
