      1668-1671 Westmoreland County, Virginia Deeds-Wills No. 1, Part 1; [John Frederick Dorman]; Pages 23-23a. 22 April 1668. Elizabeth Monrowe the relict [sic daughters] of Andrew Monrowe unto my [ ] and Susanna Monrowe [marginal notation says to Elyzabeth and Ann Monrowe]. For naturall love and affection. Two two yeares old heifers marked with the mark of Andrew Monrowe (cropt and two slitts in the right eare and the left eare hole). Further unto Elyzabeth Monrowe the first mare foale that falls from my mare now running in the pasture known by the name of Button, but what females falls from her and her increase then to goe to the rest of the children, Susanna, Andrew, George and William Monrowe untill each of them have a mare foale, but in case horses fall in the interim from the mare then to revert to me. And when either Elyzabeth or Susanna shalbe married then the cattle to be equally devided betweene them.

      Vol III, page 744-45-46. John Sturman later crossed into Virginia where he married Elizabeth, daughter of Patrick and Dorcas Spence, the sister of Eleanor Spence, who married Andrew the 2nd, son of Andrew1, the immigrant. Patrick Spence the second married Penelope, daughter of Thomas Yowell. Andrew and Elizabeth Monroe had issue the following 6 children: - 1 Mary2, who was buried in Westmoreland county 15 Jan 1661. 2 George. 3 Elizabeth2, married Bunce Roe (or Wroe). 4 Susannah, who married George Weedon. He died in Westmoreland county 1704 leaving a will under that date in which he mentions his wife and two children - 1. Jordon3 Weedon. He married Martha Sturman, daughter of William Sturman (who died 1732) and his wife Sarah Elliott,

      Will of George Weedon of Washington Parish in the said county [Westmoreland], dated 5 Sept. 1703.
      Unto my son Jordan Weedon all my lands in Westmoreland County. In default of heirs to my daughter Mary Weedon, but in default of [male] heirs to George Weedon son of Thomas Weedon and George Weedon son of Benja. Weedon equally.
      All my personal estate to be equally divided between my loving wife Susannah and my two children Jordan Weedon and Mary Weedon.
      To Benja. Weedon my best suite of cloath, shoes, stockings and hat.
      To George Beard my next best suit of cloth.
      To Thomas Weedon my ring, the Posie being in memory of Jno, Jordan.
      To John Weedon one ring marked L: W.
      My loving wife Susannah and my son Jordan Weedon and my loving brother John Weedon executors.
      The care and tuition of my two children Jordan Weedon and Mary Weedon and their estates to John Weedon, and to live on the plantation with them and to maintain them out of the profits of the estate.
      My estate shall not be appraised but an inventory be taken. Andrew Munroe and John Washington and Thomas Weedon to divide my estate.
